It was our 30th wedding anniversary and the maitre d, sommelier, waitress did everything in their power to make us feel special. From the meal to the wine pairing, it was excellent. First trip to Vancouver and we were looking for a seafood/steakhouse and found Joe Fortes. Every aspect of our time in the restaurant was excellent. The restaurant ambience was perfect for a cooler, rainy night. We were warmly greeted at the door and when we arrived 30 minutes early, they offered us a seat at the bar for cocktails. The bartender was prompt and answered all questions. Both of our drinks were made perfectly and we were happy with his suggestions. Upon being seated for our table the hostess showed us all the menus and we were quickly greeted by our waiter Brian. Throughout our dinner he was witty, friendly and attentive. He recommended the halibut cheeks and I took him up on it. The food came hot and delicious and did not disappoint. My husband’s filet was phenomenal, cooked perfectly and tender to the bite. He commented it was the best steak he has had in a long while. The halibut cheeks were wonderful. Flavorful, and the jasmine rice (as Brian suggested) was a perfect pairing. The night was an win all around. Go, celebrate, have a meal where you won’t be disappointed!!! One last thing, this restaurant is run exceptionally well. The staff is moving all the time, everyone helps each other out and the service is a reflection of it. Stellar service!

My family and I dine at the Ambleside Earls location often. We love the food, the ambience and the friendly staff. This time we were there for the Happy Hour, also one of our favorites! Mina was the manager on shift, she recognizes us now as return customers and personally ensures that everything is in order when we come in :)

    We had an amazing experience at JOEY Shipyards celebrating our friend's birthday! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was fantastic, and the service was exceptional. A special shoutout to Maxim, who was such a joyful, friendly, and accommodating server throughout our visit. He made sure everyone felt welcome and went above and beyond to make our celebration extra special. His positive energy and outstanding service truly made a difference!
