First introduced to this restaurant 10 years ago, food was excellent then and still is… keep maintaining that consistency - service and ambience top notch

Butcher & Singer was an excellent experience in every regard. Walking in the place, originally a bank building constructed in 1927, set an impressive tone of an old-school steakhouse. First bites of the laminated biscuits, and we knew we were in for a treat! And that Butcher & Singer oven must be hot - our generously cut filets came out with a proper Maillard crust, so dry and intense I was initially concerned they were overcooked. But one slice revealed a perfect medium-rare red center and every flavor you can imagine in between. But the most outstanding aspect of the entire evening was the absolutely wonderful service…balanced, expert and delightful! (Hint: ask for Lindsey’s table!) Our next trip to Philly will definitely include a reservation at Butcher & Singer.

It was the very first time that three of us visited this brand new restaurant in Ft Washington. As soon as we entered the restaurant, our jaws dropped because we couldn't get over how absolutely stunning the venue looked. We got an awesome greeting from Hamilton, the hostess. Her dazzling smile and upbeat personality really set the tone for the evening. We enjoyed our conversation with her as she showed us to a wonderful table by a window. Our server Carly came over and highlighted various items on the menu for us because it was our first time there and guided us through some of our choices. As we enjoyed our cocktails, we looked over the vast variety of items on the menu and had a really tough time narrowing down our choices. We decided on the crab cocktail, cavatelli pasta & caesar salad for our appetizers, all of which were absolutely delicious. For our entrées we had the halibut which was presented just beautifully and the sauce that it came with was to die for and we also ordered the Bronzino. We concluded this awesome dinner with the olive cake which was super yummy. We really have to thank Carly for her attentiveness and her sense of humor throughout our dinner. We also wanted to mention that we saw Jonah, who was our favorite server at Jansen restaurant, it was so good to see him again. And we also want to thank Mateo for taking so much care in packaging all of our leftovers and being so friendly in the process. I have to also mention that the birthday boy really appreciated his very extravagant gift from the restaurant, cannot tell you how much of a surprise that was and how much he appreciated it. Thanks again to everyone for making this an "over-the-top" dining experience. It blew us away on so many different levels. We can't wait to return and introduce the rest of our friends and family to this awesome restaurant.
