Best Steakhouses in South Granville

Our experience at Bevel was excellent! Food was fantastic, our cocktails were unique and fun, and we received great service! Definitely coming back!

We had a phenomenal experience celebrating a special birthday. Our server Nate was exceptional and truly made us feel well taken care of. We dined ‘alla famiglia’ and all of the dishes were delicious and well-balanced across the meal. Our top three were definitely the Northern Gold striploin, elk tartare, and the canestri with pork cheek. It’s absolutely on the top of the list of places to return!

First trip to Vancouver and we were looking for a seafood/steakhouse and found Joe Fortes. Every aspect of our time in the restaurant was excellent. The restaurant ambience was perfect for a cooler, rainy night. We were warmly greeted at the door and when we arrived 30 minutes early, they offered us a seat at the bar for cocktails. The bartender was prompt and answered all questions. Both of our drinks were made perfectly and we were happy with his suggestions. Upon being seated for our table the hostess showed us all the menus and we were quickly greeted by our waiter Brian. Throughout our dinner he was witty, friendly and attentive. He recommended the halibut cheeks and I took him up on it. The food came hot and delicious and did not disappoint. My husband’s filet was phenomenal, cooked perfectly and tender to the bite. He commented it was the best steak he has had in a long while. The halibut cheeks were wonderful. Flavorful, and the jasmine rice (as Brian suggested) was a perfect pairing. The night was an win all around. Go, celebrate, have a meal where you won’t be disappointed!!! One last thing, this restaurant is run exceptionally well. The staff is moving all the time, everyone helps each other out and the service is a reflection of it. Stellar service!

Excellent experience from start to finish. Cozy atmosphere, warm and responsive service, and excellent food and cocktails.

Had a challenge when first seated - waited about 20 minutes for a server. Had to go back to the hostess stand to alert them no one had come to see us. Manager stepped in to assist and turned the experience around. Went well after the team was made aware of the experience. Good service recovery in that regard. There was an error on our bill at the end which was promptly fixed with prompt attention. Quality of food and drink was very good. Mushrooms Neptune, Bleu Cheese Filet & bacon wrapped filet were all excellent. Kudos to the team for addressing our issues with urgency and recovering. Would (and will) still come back again.
