Not that I want to cause an all out mad dash to my new favorite restaurant and not be able to get a rez, but Akai is the best dining option in OKC. I have yet to order something that I didn’t enjoy. We’ve had the yellowtail app, gyoza, tacos, short rib fried rice, chicken karaage, crispy tuna rice, ramen bulgogi, short rib entree, more sushi rolls than I can list and I’ll even eat the king crab roll the next day it’s so good. Don’t miss out on this one. The owner is visible and circulates, head chef is attentive and the hostess Grace is top notch…all the things you’d want at your favorite gathering place. They made my birthday memorable, can’t wait to go back.

Dining here is an experience. Highly recommend the prix fixe options. Chef comes to the table to discuss options for each course. Then delicious & beautiful presentations arrive. We will be back and bringing friends with us!
