The food is always amazing. The staff is always wonderful. Both of these things were true last night. It was great to celebrate San Francisco restaurant week at Le Central. They were also very kind and switched our table for us, which was not an easy feat since it was so full.

Wonderful meal and experience. The Brussels sprouts starter was exceptional and uniquely prepared. We had the Coq au Vin and a steak special; both were perfect. The Floating Island dessert was amazing. Finally, a mid-priced Pinot Noir recommended by our waiter (who was very considerate) was great. Can’t wait to have an excuse to return!

Marvelous, informal. southwestern French restaurant. Personal, warm service and our dishes were superb. In addition to the crab stuffed mushrooms and grilled romaine with anchovies and melted Parmigiana, we had 2 specials—the coq-au-vin and a cassoulet packed with various meats. The fresh sourdough was a perfect accompaniment. We finished with a nice chocolate cake (fonfant). The prices were reasonable for what we had.
