The dinner was for my wife's birthday. We had dinner at Istanbul a few times before and we have never been disappointed. Our close friends, who have never eaten at Istanbul, joined us. They loved it. We did as well. We will be back. While not inexpensive, the portion and very large and well worth it. BTW: the dry ice steam is a great attention getter.

Loved their chicken Adana. Taste was delicious and perfectly done. I have tasted other chicken Adana but this does not have that after taste. Salad was old tradition type but refreshing and the dressing was delicious. Place was beautiful and has a great ambience. Highly recommended. Staff were attentive and the manager Miriam was great! Will be back! By the way it’s BYOB!

Sofra was great!! Me and my two friends were trying to find a restaurant that is halfway between us and settled on Sofra because of it's reviews. It did not disappoint! It's in a strip mall off of Route 18 so there was no issues with parking. The inside is much bigger than it looks from the outside and was warm and inviting inside. There was a variety of mocktail options (which is great because two of us in the group are pregnant) and all the menu items looked great so it was hard to decide what we wanted, but we never felt rushed! We ended up all getting the lentil soup (which was delicious) and the mix appetizer of the six dips. Every one was so tasty and it was awesome to try them all. I got the chicken sautee which was perfect. Came with a side of rice and was packed full of veggies and the chicken was tender & juicy. My friend got the chicken casserole and my other friend got the shrimp casserole. Everyone loved their meals; although, we were all so full from indulging in the apps, we all needed to-go boxes (which was great because I got to share my leftovers with my husband and now he's also a Sofra fan!) I will definitely be coming back here!

Dinner was great. Ordered the Mixed grill for two and mixed appetizers. The food was fresh and delicious. They never disappoint, meat was so tender and great quality. I’ve been going there for years. Quality never changes Absolutely recommend.

I went to Mera’s for a mini birthday dinner with 2 of my daughters and love it. The food was delicious. The service was great! Our waitress, Alexandria was attentive and listened to our requests. Would definitely recommend.

We will be sure to stop in here next time we are in East Brunswick. This is great food - seriously, I'm not exaggerating - which we didn't expect to find in this area. We just stumbled over it, were just looking for decent food at a good price near our hotel. What a find! We will be back next time we come down from Boston, which should be no later than Thanksgiving.
