Westville is the perfect venue for an uplifting, lively dining experience. Without an empty table (even on a weekday), the talk is spirited with no shortage of laughter. The staff is attentive, not a long wait for food and when it arrives, it is as beautifully presented as it is pleasing to the palate. The price is reasonable and the atmosphere with original artwork on the walls, is pleasant to take in. We took our 13 year old grandson, who has particular tastes, and he announced it to be a 5 star restaurant as we were leaving. Now that's high praise!

This came recommended to me by a friend who is a travel journalist. Outstanding dining experience. I didn’t do the tasting menu, but ordered several items from the surprisingly affordable happy hour menu and sat at a high-top table. The staff were extremely attentive and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious. A few hautecomfort dishes that were cozy and satisfying. The blinis were different though. Subtle, complex, and just sublime. Truly incredible. Beautiful, gallery-like, townhouse space, filled with portraits. The food was surprisingly filling, such that I couldn’t even finish half of it and had to take the rest back to my hotel. And I even got to meet Elizabeth herself, who was there greeting guests and pitching in. A wonderful experience I will always remember.

Todd, Ellen & their team continue to roll out the classics: risotto fritters, artichokes, as well as sharing new, local, organic delights! If you were a fan of the original spot on CT near the WH, you'll find the ambience here WAY more easy-going & approachable. Easy location. This continues to be my FAV restaurant in DC.

I wanted to try this place for quite awhile and it did not disappoint! Next time I will try the menu which walks you through many different items but this time we ordered separately. I got the beef and chicken platter with rice, carrots, and raisins. Very generous portions- will be enjoying it again for lunch! Great wine menu and lots of choices for vegans/vegetarian guests. Dumpling appetizer was great with each of the different types. And everyone was so welcoming!
