Best Vegetarian Restaurants in Little Italy / University Village

Nadu is easily the quintessential Indian spot in Chicago. I love that they keep things fresh with a changing menu, and their cocktails are always packed with great flavor. Everything we had was incredible—the chicken kabab and benne dosa were honestly out of this world. We also tried the jackfruit chettinad and mutton mamu, both of which were super fulfilling. Definitely a must-visit.

We love going to the Walnut Room! The ambience is grandiose with beautiful views of Chicago. The food is always delicious and plentiful. I had the meatloaf which was excellent and my brother ordered the salmon which was cooked to perfection. The desserts are worth every calorie. The service is superb and we have gotten to know some of them who we consider friends. Curtis, the bartender, prepares incredible espresso martinis and old fashioneds and is a sweetheart. Vincent, our waiter, is very efficient and friendly. Highly recommend The Walnut Room.

One of the best restaurants in Chicago, the ambiance from the moment you walk in is amazing, everyone is super sweet and friendly, the way they take care of you makes you feel special and makes your time there a truly wonderful experience, the food is a 10/10, every bite is perfect ✨

Really tasty! The 4 of us all really enjoyed 3 spreads, zucchini chips and our souvlaki dishes. Drinks also were great. Dessert menu was uninspiring and we declined. Service was friendly, helpful, fast and efficient.
