- LLisaSan Diego •7 reviews4.0Dined 2 days agoI grew up in Lemon Grove and saw Giardino’s restaurant on our way to MMHS so we booked a reservation. We were not disappointed. The restaurant’s aesthetics were very nice, clean and inviting. Our service was excellent and very helpful. The appetizers we enjoyed our delicious. I highly recommend the truffle fries, meatballs and calamari! The Caesar salad was not great. A traditional dressing would work better. The food came out in a timely manner. We ordered the crab and shrimp ravioli, chicken Marsala, short rib gnocchi which were all so good but hands down the Sea Bass was my favorite. It was the best Sea Bass I have had in San Diego hands down but the accompanying asparagus risotto was a bit disappointing. Nevertheless the Sea Bass stole the show. We were pleasantly surprised that they hold group events so we are going to plan an event there soon. Don’t hesitate to make a reservation because you will be pleasantly surprised. They are doing a fantastic job and we can’t wait to return. I am Italian so I know good Italian food and Giardino Neighborhood Cucina should be on your list to try out!
