The Dal Rae is the Southern California restaurant where 1950s classics still reign. Lobster Thermidor, Pepper Steak, Chateaubriand, Prime Rib, Fresh Fish, Lamb Chops, Steak Diane and Cherries Jubilee prepared tableside are among more than 100 items on a truly retro menu, complete with some of the city's best martinis. Opened in 1958, the Dal Rae has maintained its original atmosphere, too, right down to a piano bar with live entertainment. And, most important, it has preserved a tradition otherwise found only in private clubs -- knowing its customers by name and treating them like the most important people in the whole wide world. The Dal Rae is located close to the 5 freeway and half-way between LA County, Orange County and The Valley. It is a perfect location for business meetings or entertaining friends and family.

Great place for lunch, Thursday mid morning, reservations at 11:30am. Valet was open already. Walked in and sat down right away. Food and drinks were great. Can't go wrong for a nice lunch. Busy but service was great.

We had a lovely dinner at Dal Rae celebrating my husband Mike’s birthday! He said the famous filet mignon pepper steak was absolutely delicious, and I loved the teriyaki tidbits. Even the bread and butter was amazing! The superb chocolate cake was the perfect finish to a wonderful evening. A great place to celebrate a special occasion!

An absolute amazing dining experience. This stored institution knows what they're doing as they've had years to perfect their food, service and restaurant ambiance. Tableside Caesar salad prepared by Mark, perfection. Waitperson Lydia and Jay were service oriented and made our experience one of the best. Lydia is absolutely amazing with her engaging and caring attitude. The food was delicious as always and Marci, the employee in charge of the head of house was so professional and truly masterful in what she does. It's a true honor to be welcomed by her. Keep on keeping on being one of the absolute best restaurants in the Los Angeles area - good food, wonderful employees and lovely ambiance in a caring atmosphere leads to dining perfection.

This was my second visit. The filet mignon oscar style was beyond delicious! My server was sweet and engaging. We were celebrating a birthday. My sister enjoyed her meal as well. It is worth the drive wherever you are.

The ambiance at Dal Rae Restaurant was outstanding, creating the perfect atmosphere for a wonderful dining experience. Our server was exceptionally attentive, providing excellent service that made our evening truly memorable and left us looking forward to returning. The prime rib was absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection, and exceeded our expectations. Kudos to the kitchen staff for preparing such an exceptional meal!
