"HATTIE MARIE'S STORY"Hattie Marie's started in the community of Port Arthur in southeast Texas. She grew up watching her father, a cook on a merchant ship, use cuisine to entertain and bring people together. She was a natural in the kitchen and quickly followed in her footsteps. In the late 1980s, Hattie Marie decided to share her culinary skills with the general public by opening Pie Face Bakery, a bakery/catering service. Her business took off as word got out about the exquisite dishes being made there.Due to health issues, she had to close her doors, but many of her recipes and cooking flair carry on through her children. Willie, her son, went to Atlanta in 1991. In the 1980s, his mother did the same thing. Voted best BBQ in Atlanta!!!
