   It was pride weekend in London so Soho was madness which continued in a respectful way in the energy in the restaurant. We had great service from our original server and a nice dinner. At the end of the dinner one of the hostesses came round to tell us to be quiet. The restaurant is beyond loud. When we arrived there was a group of women sitting in the booth next to us and we could hardly hear each other in our booth. One of friends has a large personality and was laughing quite loudly and sang a little at one point. In no way were we noisier than the women next to us or the group of young people sitting in the booth on the other side of us. In no way were we inappropriate or louder than anyone around us. The hostess essentially telling us to shut up was incredibly rude. We had three people of colour at the table. The large personality was of colour and the one the hostess spoke to say to be quiet. It ruined what had been a very fun, festive evening celebrating pride. The Soho House group might consider some sensitivity training around diversity and inclusion.

   Overall the experience was enjoyable - we had a nice table by the window with comfy chairs, the food good if list the warmth of being freshly off he hob… the slight disappointment was that it was so hard to get the attention of the waiting staff. We had to really make an effort to get them to notice us when we wanted anything…

   We went for afternoon tea. It was very relaxing and unhurried with comfortable couches and casual seating. The food was good… standard fare for tea, I assume. Price reasonable compared to some of the fancier places like the Ritz. Didn’t feel like dressing up so this was perfect.

    Superb food and service. We wanted to thank the whole team at Dean Street Townhouse for their amazing food and service. We were given the table we requested. The service was absolutely spot on. Their Prawn and monkfish curry superb. The atmosphere and level of professionalism was wonderful. Thank you.

    We were all impressed. Our waiter Dionysus was one of the best waiters I’ve ever had. Absolutely brilliant in himself and with unbelievable efficiency. The food was perfectly cooked from my delicate cod to the tenderest of lamb. We all said we’d come back.

    It was my first visit to this restaurant. My daughter, who accompanied me on this occasion - to celebrate Father's Day - had been here previously with friends. The restaurant has a lively atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff. The menu, whilst limited, was exactly what I was after - traditional English fare accompanied with nice bottle of French wine. The meal was finished with a delicate pot of fresh green mint tea. Overall, an enjoyable experience.

    A delicious brunch at Dean Street Townhose. A lovely relaxed atmosphere but with a touch of elegance. We had to wait a while for our order to be taken and disappointingly we had to get the waiters attention as we felt we had been waiting for too long. This has never happened before so hopefully a one off. Usually the service is good. Food is always delicious.

    This is a lovely venue which I've eaten at before - but while the food was very good, the service was not up to previous standards. Initial drinks (gin & tonic) were served without tonic which we had to call someone over to bring; our wine was left in a cooler about 12ft away and it wasn't until we asked where it was (over mid-way through the main course) that our glasses started being topped up. Dessert menu was left with us for 20 minutes so, in the end, I had to get up and find someone to take our order; when I told this person that I didn't like being left to wait so long, he brushed over this and did not offer any form of apology. All this was highly unprofessional and not a little embarrassing - and I state this as someone who has run a professional chef and front of house training school. That I was hosting a previous Lord Mayor of Westminster just made it all the more embarrassing.

    I chose Dean Street Townhouse to celebrate my niece's birthday and wanted it to feel like a special experience for her. When I arrived, I unknowingly used the wrong entrance - there was an open door with "Dean Street Townhouse" sign immediately above, hence why I made the mistake - but was greeted very rudely by a male member of staff. He greeted me without looking at me, and language was short and snappy with emphasis on me being at the wrong entrance, then turned to me and looked me up and down. When I was escorted 15 feet to the correct side of the restaurant, two front of house ladies greeted me with very similar energy. By this point I felt like I was inconveniencing the whole staff force just by breathing. The food was excellent and I have no complaints regarding food. Our waiters were much more friendly but still seemed rushed and maybe understaffed? The restaurant did also bring out a plate of chocolates with "Happy Birthday" written in chocolate, which was a nice touch. Food was the highlight, customer service was disappointing and I really expected more from Dean Street Townhouse. It was not the brasserie fantasy I was hoping for at all, but my niece got a video for tiktok so I suppose it was a success.

    Usually had really good service and great value for money here. Just lots of issues with ordering. Some food arrived luke warm, our glasses were empty most the meal with no ability to top up ourselves (absent waitor) and then having to get up and find staff to get the bill because we were ignored so often. Don't know if yesterday was a one-off, but extremely disappointed. Oh, and coming home to find out we were overcharged wasn't great, the staff forgot to bring the drink but charged us for it!

    Space and ambience as good as ever, and whilst the food is good, there are better places to eat in Soho. But my main complaint was the intrusive waiters continually interrupting our meal to upsell, be it more water, more wine or more food. It felt very touristy and not the cool place it used to be . Will go elsewhere in future.
