Siamo stati nel locale per l'afternoom tea. Servizo ottimo, locale molto curato e ottima l'atmosfera anche se forse un pochino caotica. Consigliato prenotare. Prezzi giusti per la location
Interesting menu, delicious food, cosy yet upmarket ambiance. Would recommend!
The DSTH used to be a regular breakfast treat - attentive service, amazing kedgeree, great coffee & just beautifully decadent. We haven’t been for years but it was our first choice when we had a rare morning off work. I’m really sorry to say that we were utterly underwhelmed. Although the food was great, it wasn’t hot, and the service was not what we had come to expect. Slow & lacking the DSTH style we have so loved in the past. It was a very busy breakfast - maybe they were short staffed, but if so letting us know would have gone far in increasing our enjoyment. Get your eye back on the ball & be great again team!
Sunday lunch with friends. Second time and didn’t disappoint. Food and service was excellent. Very busy so a little noisy but this appears to be the way in most restaurants these days. Would definitely book again and our friends who had not been before really enjoyed the food etc.
Very good and a very enjoyable evening. It would have been even better if the staff were a little more attentive.
The food came out cold - both meals. My mum asked for her steak medium rare and it came out still mooing. Though the staff were very friendly, the service was incredibly slow
Our pre theatre meal was great value and very tasty. Service couldn’t have been better. It was a super evening
Bit noisy but excellent on all levels. Food delicious and service exemplary
Brilliant service and atmosphere! Would recommend for a pre-theatre menu.
Negative - Drinks were overpriced. Food average.
Positive - Great ambience. Good service. Friendly staff. Liked the idea of returning after the theatre to have dessert.
Really buzzy but never felt loud, or like you had to shout. A lovely atmosphere and the best hollandaise sauce I've ever had!
Lovely buzzy place. Friendly service. Food always good. Staff on this visit was exceptionally wonderful and very accommodating given the short time we had to dine prior to heading out to the theatre. Centrally located, highly recommended.
Great food and drinks and friendly service. We certainly enjoyed ourselves
Great venue, lovely food, it was very busy and our table was very near the bar and it was quite hectic. Would
Love to go again when it’s quieter
We ate from the pre-theatre menu which offered a good range of choices. I had the steak tartare to start which was very good, with a generous portion. Service was good and attentive. My only downside was the place was very busy so it was rather noisy.
Lovely food and ambience, buzzy and loud
Excellent, perfect for informal business meetings.
Dear Street Townhouse reliably delivers high quality food and excellent service in a wonderfully relaxed and charming environment.
Very friendly maître d’, accommodating staff, well-times courses and delicious food.
Great food and v good service. Will definitely go back
Wine was a bit dear but food very reasonable. Good service and great atmosphere
Consistently great food with friendly staff. The portion sizes could be a touch bigger and the price of wine a little cheaper but overall a good experience. Nice bathrooms too!
Exceptional for late Sunday lunch. One of the best roast beef meals I have had .
Perhaps slightly more choice for desserts
The food was absolutely perfect but we were placed between two large tables with very noisy parties going on. I would not say the noise level was energetic. It was so noisy that we could not speak to one another. Too bad because it could have been a lovely afternoon.
The food and tea were great, and the atmosphere was fun. We ordered the Grand Marnier drinks, which were both delicious. We did not know we'd be doing afternoon tea in the mix of a large restaurant that ended up getting quite busy and loud, but it is what it is and was certainly a unique and enjoyable experience worth doing again.
The service was good until we were ready for the bill. We attempted to get the attention of our server for over 30 minutes, but she walked by multiple times without even looking in our direction. After about 30 minutes, a host came over and asked for us to pay our bill so we could free up the table for other customers. We told her that we had tried to get our server's attention for over 30 minutes, but she did not seem to acknowledge the issue nor apologize. We would have happily given up our table sooner since the restaurant was full by the time we were done our experience.
Relaxed, comfortable and pretty swanky place for brunch with friends. Friendly, attentive service. Food was good, though not mind-blowing and fairly pricey. Drinks particularly pricey. But it's a very pleasant environment to spend a couple of hours without feeling rushed.
Great, fun atmosphere, helpful staff, great food, well priced,
I rarely book but I come here often with clients because of the location and service. They have great team members! The drink menu and food options are amazing but it can expensive. It does get very busy, noisy and managers can seem confused so I recommend going in quieter times for a restaurant.
Food was very good and the setting nice. However, the waiter seemed so rushed it may the experience unenjoyable. Practically threw our menus and food down and so rushed he poured water on the table. No one likes to feel like the staff are too busy to be attentive to them. What’s more when our bill came it was completely wrong and twice the price of what it should have been. Just careless and a shame as the food was good.
My dining companions food was cold, but the waiter & kitchen replaced it very swiftly. They also took great care to deal with my food intolerances. And the atmosphere is romantic but also cool
Excellent evening with friends. It was busy and they couldn’t get us our table on time. However, they bent over backwards to look after us with a bottle of prosseco on the house. The maitre d’ was extremely professional. Would certainly recommend for a vibrant atmosphere.
Well done to the whole team, made my friends 50th really special!
This is the second time i had a meal there, food and drinks were good as always. I’m not sure whether it was the location of our table or because it was a Friday night, but the noise level were off the roof (we had to practically yell at each other across the table, and it was just the 2 of us) which made it quite unpleasant. But when i came there for a sunday lunch and sat in a different room, it was great!
Enjoyable, no problems.
Continues to be my favourite restaurant in London. Such a special place and every single member of staff is so friendly and welcoming!
Lovely food great service. We had the set menu and it was very good value. The rice pudding was stunning. Service was great. We were sitting near the bar and it got rather too loud by 7pm and we found it difficult to talk.
The food is simple but well done. Not the cheapest of this type of restaurant, but in central London, what you expect. Wine list not bad, considering the usual outrageous restaurant 300% mark up. I went early for dinner. With the bar and adjoining seating area, I would expect it to be noisy at peak times.
The food at Dean Street Townhouse was incredible. I had a haddock souffle for an appetizer, chicken dish for an entree, and tea and toffee pudding for dessert. All of it was absolutely delicious. The ambiance was great. I think this is a great stop for a trip to London.
Fabulous choice for inter Harry Potter show times!
Shared a few smaller plates, like English Tapas, followed by a cream tea.
Lovely, attentive but unobtrusive staff.
