    Went for the Duck tasting menu. Was fantastic, we loved all the courses served. Duck bone broth, winter greens salad with Asian pears, the whole roasted duck with all the fixings was very well done. Also loved the coconut ice cream that was apparently made with duck fat but was delicious did not taste like duck! Will go back again next December, they only have it available in month of December.

    Incredible views. The experience menu was wonderful, especially with the added drink pairings. My only negatives involved a couple of my dishes. One was a pickled fish that just seemed average, the other was the octopus which took an excessive amount of force energy to chew. But, flavors and sauces and everything else was Incredible and the price was perfect for what we received. Also, was the perfect amount of food with great timing between courses. Will recommend and return.

    We decided to try the Duck Experience at $80/plate and it was cooked to perfection. Our waitress was very professional and always appeared just when needed. The cocktails were good and the corkage was $35 for the bottle we brought to pair with Duck. We will go again when they offer this event.

    We had the Duck experience and it was delicious. Each course was amazing, presentation fun and all of it so flavorful. We also had the Oysters which were great too! Wonderful drinks and a huge selection!

    Great ambiance, friendly help though at times a bit delayed service. Most food was above-average presentation with average flavor. A couple of the tapas were actually not that good (i.e. very under-cooked squash).

    Overall Experience was good. We got seated quickly (we did have reservations) and it wasn't long before our waitress came by and asked if we had any questions about the menus. It was our first time here so her explanation of the 2 menus was helpful. Unfortunately, she did not ask any of us if we wanted a drink and it was at least 10 minutes before she came back to see if we had any questions. We ordered from both menus and felt the quality and portion of food was good for the price. A little disappointed on the desserts as we ordered 3 different items and none of them really lived up to what we expected. Would definitely return but will skip dessert.

    The only thing that I noticed. Was my girlfriend and I both got gin and tonics. It tasted like there wasn't much gin in either of our drinks.

    I was surprised how good the food was since the tasting menu was only $55. A little disappointed with their wine selection so I had to get a cocktail.

    Overall experience is mediocre. I had high expectations walking in due to others' experience but I did not feel the same way. For such place, the service was quite lacking. The server was not very attentive and did not check in often. Our table opt-in for the 3-course dinner. Definitely worth the price but not sure if I like the flavors of the different dishes. I found that everything was on the saltier side and some of the flavors were too overpowering. This can be a personal opinion though. However, the sushi roll is definitely not worth. For the price, it contained very little salmon and just a bunch of chives inside the roll. The rice was also very cold. Felt like it just came out of the fridge.

    The service was terrible enough to warrant taking the time to leave a review. We had finished our appetizer before our drinks came out. We never had a plate in front of us at the same time that we had a drink. There was a long wait for anything to show up. We had multiple different servers with no explanation for what was happening. The food started as bland and entirely underwhelming and eventually improved to being passable. A single pour of a standard whiskey was $30 while the exact same drink is $11 at the bar just up the street. We could not wait for the meal to be over so we could leave. The experience was entirely atrocious.

    We went for a small get together and get-to-know each other event. The food was amazing. The space was perfect in ambiance. We could hear each other and enjoy each others company. The waitstaff was really nice and added to the experience.

    The restaurant was an outstanding experience. Superb food, service, view, atmosphere...but the ending was completely shocking and totally unacceptable...value parking!!! It was outrageously expensive (more than midtown Manhattan, downtown Chicago or just about anywhere else. And, you do NOT even validate any/all of it. Then, after recovering from the knock on the head, it took over 20 minutes to get our car. If you are going to charge the highest dinner valet prices in the country, you better have the vehicle appear within moments. To give you perspective, I will definitely recommend our friend to NOT go to Departure as the valet parking knocks it down from very, very high marks to avoid at all cost.

    The service was the only thing I was particularly disappointed. Once seated we waited 30 min for our order to be taken. Then another 45 min for our first course to come out whereas the table seated after us had their order taken and food served before us. The waitress also made more frequent rounds to check on them but would skip us despite our tables being right next to each other

    Ther service was good but when we order they didn’t brought it at the same time. We have to wait for everyone dish and food was getting cold. The experience with the food is ok but not for the price that they charge. The pork belly was my favorite. The rest pretty mediocre. The sashimi the texture of the fish wasn’t firm didn’t taste like fresh. The server was really good.

    The last day of summer, on the deck, high above beautiful Portland. As usual, Departure hit all the 'marks.' From the reservation process to the final tab, all was good. Prompt seating, a 6-top on the deck. Our server was amazing, on it, attentive, friendly and funny. The food was great. Kimchi-fried rice, pork belly, sushi, G&T's, wine.....it all was great. We were able to spend as much time as we wanted, never felt rushed or overwhelmed. A great experience, with a group or on a date. We've never been disappointed.

    We were both freezing cold. And I even dressed expecting to be cold and was still freezing. Waiter was slow. Empty drinks for 10-15 mins. You’d think they would keep cocktails topped off since they make tips on those pricey cocktails. Food was good but honestly has gone downhill since we’ve been there last, and so many better options in the city. Hell I would have much rather been downstairs at Urban Farmer. Last time we visit.

    Unfortunately this didn't live up to expectations to a restaurant of this calibre. We arrived to find our table had been given to someone else, we were allocated a table at the side of the main restaurant, here the air conditioning was freezing & made it most unpleasant. Service was very average/untrained/exceptionally slow. I don't think it was reflective of all staff - we asked to move tables due to the freezing airconditioning blowing directly over the tables (on this night the front desk said alot of guests expressed how cold it was) - this server was brilliant, until the original server took over. Thankfully the chef/food was AMAZING and saved the evening. Portland has so many amazing dining options, sadly I wouldn't go back, or recommend, which is really disappointing.

    Great evening dinner with amazing staff and views of Portland. The food was top notch and the drinks even better. Definitely check this place out when you can. You don’t want to miss this fine dining experience.
