About the restaurant
The basement of Hotel Georgia has long been a canvas for the vibrant and the bold. In its heyday, it was a sanctuary for the social elite, a hidden gem where jazz notes floated through the air, and the clink of cocktail glasses punctuated lively conversations. The echoes of laughter and music have remained to this day, etched into its very walls.

It's in this space that we bring you Prophecy. Our name, Prophecy, suggests a glimpse into the future while revisiting the spirit of the past; a vision of what could be, guided by the echoes of what has been. Named to Canada's Top 50 Bars as Canada's best new bar 2025 and 7th best bar in Canada, North America's 50 Best Bars, and 50 Best's Discovery list as one of the best places to eat and drink in Vancouver, we believe in telling stories through our cocktails and creating an atmosphere that provides the convas for shared experiences and memorable moments.

Please note that we are strictly an ages 19+ bar.

Chinatown
About the restaurant
COFU Chinatown is part of COFU, a Vancouver-based Japanese dining brand offering a refined, plant-based interpretation of Japanese cuisine.

Rooted in traditional Japanese culinary values, the experience is guided by seasonality, Japanese techniques, and deep respect for ingredients. Rather than beginning with veganism as a concept, the cuisine evolves naturally toward a plant-based expression through simplicity, balance, and careful craftsmanship.

The menu centers on vegetables, grains, seaweeds, fruits, and fermented elements—prepared without reliance on imitation meats or substitutes. Each course highlights the ingredient itself, allowing subtle flavours, textures, and aromas to unfold.

We offer one of Canada’s first fully plant-based omakase experiences at an intimate counter, with thoughtful attention to taste, temperature, pacing, and presentation. Entirely plant-based, the experience is designed to resonate with anyone seeking a calm, modern way to enjoy Japanese dining.

My wife and I visited COFU Chinatown last night for their Autumn Omakase experience, and it was absolutely amazing! The food, service, and ambiance were stellar! The chef was so meticulous in the preparation of each dish while engaging openly with us through each course. The restaurant staff were also welcoming and helpful, providing detailed descriptions of each course served. Every sake pairing was thoroughly described to clearly explain the differences among them and the reasons for each pairing with the dishes served. Prior to our visit, I had the opportunity to speak with the restaurant manager regarding my wife's food allergies. He was exceptionally thorough in answering all of our questions, which allowed my wife to fully enjoy her dining experience without any concerns about potential allergens. This evening was a uniquely wonderful experience, and we would rank it well above five stars if possible. I would highly recommend this experience for anyone seeking a one-of-a-kind evening. Thank you COFU, for making our anniversary even more special!

We really enjoyed our date dinner. Our server Mikiko made us feel welcome and explained the dishes and sake beautifully. We had a hot sake flight, which is rare in Vancouver, showcasing unique and delicious two different sakes. For food, seasonal special Nasu Dengaku was our highlight as a vegetarian. Thank you!!

About the restaurant
Sumibiyaki Arashi is an 14-seat omakase experience where each skewer meets binchotan charcoal, drawing out deep, clean flavours through a dialogue of fire, time, and technique.

I've been lucky enough to go twice. Both times were amazing - from the warm welcome on entry, through all points of service, and every bite of food...chicken doesn't get better. That is slightly reductive because don't miss the Wagyu skewer if they have it, it was perfect. Thank you to the entire team for a second outstanding meal.

Highballs, high vibes and high fives!

I had put off making a reservation all summer and big time regret that I waited. Although, it was exactly the night I needed which may not have been the case if I had visited earlier. Everyone was wonderful - staff and other guests. The drinks were outstanding. Incredibly well-balanced and playful. An extremely wonderful experience. Thank you so much Max (and team) for creating such a welcoming space.
