Our waiter Will was amazing 🤩 but once he left and we payed our bill we stood to drink our drink that we payed for. A waiter came without asking and grabbed our drinks and took them away so fast without letting us finish them when we payed for them. This was extremely rude and we won’t be coming back.
This is my second time going on a date with my boyfriend here. The tacos and margaritas are always top notch. Highly recommend making a reservation beforehand.
Great food, friendly service
Great upscale Mexican food in Times Square. Downstairs is very romantic.
This restaurant was amazing! Great authentic food and drinks. We asked for a customer favorite when it came to choosing tacos and the Asade Tacos were to die for! Would definitely recommend. The next time I visit New York, I will definitely visit again.
My family had great time and enjoy the delicious food. Frank was a lot helpful with our ordering and recommendations for the food/drinks.
Was in New York City randomly decided really quick trip decided to book something on open table saw it looked nice made a reservation. Upon arrival to the restaurant the guy that greeted us was so rude and even tho I had a reservation and no one else did I still had to wait in line with everyone else. After waiting some time to actually get a table we were told to walk down steps and finally get to our table the waiter took a long time to come and get our drink orders and even longer with our food horrible experience most likely will never done here ever again. However ! The plantains here are amazing quite possibly the only reason I would ever order from here again never dine in though.
Everything was great.
My experience here was poor to say the least.
Food: we ordered the chilaquiles, breakfast burrito, and steak and eggs. The steak was not a strip is more of a small chickens breast. The burrito just simply didn’t taste good. We left most our food.
We payed for the bottomless brunch. The waiters didn’t come around enough for us to enjoy the “bottomless” we had three drinks. We didn’t enjoy the margarita so we asked for it to be changed. They took our margarita but didn’t come back with the new drinks until about 10-15 minutes later. Therefore, not worth it.
The cherry on top was when we got asked to leave because “they had people with reservations waiting on the table.” We were also paying customers therefore, this was embarrassing and super uncalled for I felt.
My Boyfriend And I Went To Dinner. Our Reservation Was At 7, But We Unintentionally Arrived Around 6:15. They Seated Us Right Away In Their Downstairs Dining Room. They Had Gorgeous Decor And An Amazing Ambiance To Match. We Loved How Quiet And Cozy It Was. For Our Appetizer We Ordered The Plantain Empanadas, Which Were 10/10 DELICIOUS! For My Entree, I Ordered The Street Corn Nachos Which Were AMAZING! My Boyfriend Had The Shrimp Quesadilla, Which He Loved. For Drinks, He Had The Passion Fruit Margarita & I had A Virgin Strawberry Margarita With Lime. Our Server Was Amazing, He Was Very Attentive To Our Needs And Made Sure To Stop By Our Table Whenever He Was In The Area. The only thing is that the prices were high. It’s definitely A Place You Splurge On Once and While For A Cute Date Or Birthday.
Great food and service! Ample spacing of tables and solid Covid protocols.
It was our first time. The waiter was friendly and the food was great. I especially loved the orange sauce on the surf & turf tacos and the mango margaritas!
Dos Caminos was overall very unpleasant. We made reservations and were still left to wait, outside, for nearly 15 minutes. Once we were let into the restaurant, our waitress was curt and borderline rude. She never introduced herself, only offered us water halfway through the meal, and never once came to check on us, aside from clearing our plates and bringing our check.
I wish I could say something redeeming about the food itself, but that was also substandard. The guacamole was decent, but everything else was just of poor quality. I wanted to like this restaurant, but the service combined with the food was highly disappointing.
Service really lacked. No care or concern for me or my partner. We will not be going back there again. Beware: They also added a 15% gratuity on our bill without asking us. We were only a party of 2. I complained to the manager and it was taken off. No where on the menu or online does it state anything about them adding the gratuity. In fact the check clearly states the gratuity is suggested. That left a bad taste in our mouth for sure.
The service was excellent however the food had no flavor. Our group had steak and chicken dishes and none of the meats tasted like they hadn’t been seasoned at all. The chicken dishes were dry as well. To pay NYC prices and get low quality food is disappointing.
Service was lacking. Wondering why gratuity was added for a party of 2 when it’s illegal to do that in the city... especially when the server was awful
Needs improvement in service and quality of food. You pay a lot for what you get.
I got the chilaquiles that were not chilaquiles at all they basically just gave tortilla chips and threw some salsa on top. My eggs were cold. I disliked my food. The drinks were good and the atmosphere was cute. The music was alright. I would not come back.
Our server was wonderful and attentive. I would highly recommend Dos Caminos!
I came to Dos Caminos for a Brunch on a Sunday afternoon. First the fact that you could do Bottomless Mimosa, Margarita, Screwdriver or Mojito is a draw! It’s different and me and my group enjoyed it! The drinks were good and the food was tasty but I was expecting a little more with the portion size however with me watching my waist I was satisfied. I will be back for sure!
Excellent service provided!
The place was nice, but my husband is very allergic to avocado and when we asked the waiter to please not put avocado in his nachos, the waiter assured he wouldn’t and still did. I ordered tortilla soup and it was very bland.
I appreciate the warm and friendly service my guests and I were given. It made my bday lunch very special!
Food was inedible. Even the rice which was hard as a rock. Tourist trap. Never again
I came in alone for a drink and some tacos. I was disappointed when their Happy hour menu wasn’t available. Happy hour is advertised on their website.
I love this place and was so happy to be back. Everything was great.
I'd say avoid this branch of Dos Caminos if you can. The only upside this restaurant has is it's at Times Square. The quality is appalling for the price they charge. Rice was hard, drinks were made from artificial syrups, otherwise food was dry and bland at most. For the price, you'd be better off eating at some other upscale restaurant.
Did not love it. At all. I have visited the location on park and it was a far better experience overall. The manager ? On duty at the Times Square location seemed to be in a mood. The food was cold and not at all appetizing. I had the surf and turf tacos and my friend had the carnitas tacos. Cold. Only ate one. The ambience felt rushed. We were seated upstairs by the door so it was a bit chilly as people walked in and out. I definitely won’t visit this location again, I’ll stick to the one on park. Everyone there was extremely friendly and accommodating the exact opposite here. I do want to mention the server we had was kind. I also over heard the manager? Tell two ladies they had to sit, dine and order drinks to use the restroom... yikes.
Fun place for a night out and good food too! Service is very attentive and provides good recommendations.
Server was very friendly. Drinks were great. Food came out slightly cold, like it had been sitting around for awhile. Overall the ambience was good.
Had a great time before covid here. We have come here 3 times before covid. Our last visit left a bad taste with us. food was cold and undercooked. The food quality was definitely not the same. Nonetheless hope this comes back to its original state soon. Understand with all this going on.
Waiter was attentive, service was Excellent!
We had an excellent meal. Service was wonderful and the drinks were fabulous. I would definitely eat here again the next time we are in NYC.
It was amazing, the margaritas are really good!!!! make sure you get a shot of tequila 8 really smooth
Excellent food, stellar service, cheery and ample outdoor seating.
Good food good service. Will recomend this restaurant
I’ve dined at Dos Caminos twice in the past, I absolutely loved the food and service. This time around it was a little different. I am going to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt due to the whole COVID- 19 situation, but the food wasn’t up to par. It definitely wasn’t worth the $180 I dropped on the bill. We ordered two Skirt Steak Asadas and two Pollos in Cacahuate. Despite both these dishes being our main choice the past times we’ve dined, we were extremely disappointed with the quality of the food. Both these dishes are normally filled with a lot of flavor, ranging from tangy, sweet and spicy. So to much of our dismay, we were brought flavorless chicken and steak. Despite that, service was amazing, as we are more than aware that the servers aren’t responsible for the quality of the food. Hopefully the restaurant is able to go back to the quality of food it use to provide.
Amazing service as always. Love these guys. I hope they bring back the brunch menu soon. I miss my French toast and bottomless mimosas:)
We love this place and we admire the staff. They’re pleasant and hardworking and they make the dining experience so comfortable. Great food, festive atmosphere. Thank you for the food, the drinks, and the chance to relax at an outdoor table.
Because of COVID the tables are on the side of the street but like on the sidewalk and there are people walking by and car exhaust. Very loud. Dos Caminos is always great but obviously COVID ruined the ambiance.
