Crispy Bok Choy
garlic, plum, soy
AMAZING FOOD!!! BEST SERVICE WEVE HAD SINCE BEING IN MIAMI
Overcharging when the price is already high. Not good
Food and drinks were great! Service was amazing and on-point! Definitely recommend!
The food was very fair for the price which was expensive for four people. Service Ok. The bbq you have to cook on your own was very difficult as the cooking area was not hot enough even for the steak. The shrimp took a long time to cook and it never cooked through. The tuna pizza was on a thin slice of bread, tuna slices and greens tossed over it. The winners were the fries, mushroom buns, ad the deserts which were outstanding. The drinks were good.
Great restaurant. Good food in a chic ambience. You need to try the duck Bao Bun.
Terrible service. Red wine was served hotter than room temperature. Manager did not care about how poorly dinner was going. Would not go back.
Food was delicious, service good, restaurant a little noisy for my older telative
We came at 8:30pm sharp and we had a reservation for that time. The blond hostess told us to wait at the bar. When I asked for how long she told me she didn’t know. That we had people ahead of us. When I asked about reservations, she turned to the manager who told us it was 30 seconds. He split a table for 4 and created room for our reservation. When we got to our table I noted it was very close to another couples table. Wanting some privacy we asked for the table that was a little further. She told us the table was reserved and when I ask how could that be, having noted that the manager split the table maybe 5 min earlier, she told us wnjoy your evening and left!!!! After that it all went downhill, the waitress spilled the dressing of our Bok Choy all over the table, service was mediocre at best. Overall, if you are looking for good food and dining experience, DONT GO THERE. Not even worth it even if it is complimentary.
That is the problem with Miami, bad food, bad attitude, bad service at New York Prices with 20% included so they don’t give a damn.
They deserve to go Broke and Close.
Never ever disappoints ! Such a great meal/night ! Duck Buns/drunken chicken(a standard “special”)truffle mushroom rice/udon/ and of course grilling on the table...ps the lobster toast a
Must :..oh wait for desert ..mango sticky rice
I’m going to say this might be my fave Miami Beach spot ...did I mention the great drinks and music too?! Love it here
Impeccable, friendly service and some of the best food I’ve had in a long time. Don’t miss the fried bok choy.
An awesome experience all around - The food was fantastic - and the service was amazing. We especially enjoyed the great bartenders and bar scene. Also great to have a table with a grill - skirt steak was thee best! We will be back! Fun special night for us!
Very expensive for the quality of food. I font mind paying for expensive food if it’s worth it but this place was not. The rice was under cooked and extremely hard on both meals we ordered and the shrimp was over cooked. It was almost like it was premade.
Attentive staff and excellent customer service. Food was delicious and tasty. Great experience overall.
Simply awful. Will never go back. The waitress constantly rushed us to order. We ordered skirt steak medium rare, it came out extremely rare. We asked to finish cooking the meat. They brought it back out within five minutes still extremely rare. Additionally, we ordered pork belly bao buns that never showed up. The waitress claimed that the buns took awhile to make. However we received each pork belly and extra buns in the meantime while waiting for the bao buns. Not sure how the pork belly buns took longer than each the pork belly and buns separately.
Living in Miami 7 years, simply the worst dining experience we’ve had.
Very hype like a restaurant you would find in new york. Unexpected from what you see in the exterior.
The food was not my style, most of it was too spicy for my taste.
Todo bien, pero celebramos un cumpleaños y no tuvieron ningún detalle con la del cumpleaños.
Mixed... I've been here before and loved it! Each time, I sat with a grill and had grilled dishes. Those are always excellent. However, on this occasion we tried something different, the bulgogi, which was good, but not a lot of meat (lots of onions and scallions though) and the lobster pot, which had trace amounts of tiny lobster pieces and was almost entirely rice. It also had some peppers in it that were pretty darn spicy, despite the waiter telling us it wasn't spicy. So it was a disappointing experience. The people are nice enough, and the hostess was super accommodating, but the waiter never checked to see how our food was and it was difficult to get his attention. The dishes, as mentioned, were really not worth it at all. $26 for a bowl of rice strikes me as a little obscene. I would much rather pay more and have a dish that was satisfying. On the other hand, on prior experiences eating the meat dishes on the grill, everything was great and the prices are fair. So stick with the grill and you're okay. I would not suggest the rice dishes.
This is my second time here and I love it. It looks like hell in the outside (strip mall) but the inside is really neat. The service is gracious and friendly and feels local. Food has been excellent both times and reasonably priced. Highly recommend it. But beware of the Scorpion Bowls!
Great experience. Was immediately sat, waiter was informative and even took us to a back entrance bar. Very cool
Great place, great food! The lobster rolls are amazing.
The restaurant was very accommodating, we cancelled our reservation because we were running late but once we got there around 940 the restaurant and hostess actually honored our reservation and seated us immediately. They appreciated our consideration and we were grateful. Good food great service.
Been to the restaurant a few times - and this was not the best experience. Waitress seemed annoyed and not helpful in any way when explaining the menu and/or recommendation on how much to order. Then we had to change to tables (Broken grill) and had a new waiter who made you for it. Overall, is it a nice/different restaurant to take out of towners, yes. Would I go back? No - will remember how it used to be when it first opened and was the talk of the town!
Not very Korean. Didn’t even get table either grill as option.
Fantastic service, love that they carry Westland American Single Malt!
No one took drink order for us at the bar and we had to wait longer than expected for our reserved table. Other than that service was OK, a dish was served late.
One of the better happy hours in miami beach...
Terrible night. Kitchen was overwhelmed and food was delayed for an inexplicably long time; some dishes were “off” (shredded papaya and grain salad was saccharine sweet and grilled octopus was overcooked and dry); noise level was deafening. Really disappointing after the good things that I had heard about this place.
We arrived 10min before the reservation time and were seated immediately which was great seeing as the restaurant was pretty much packed to the brim. After being seated, we were given a drink menu and a food menu. My wife ordered sake , I ordered a cocktail called Flower Blossom. We ordered the duck & pork belly bao buns which were delicious (pork belly was the star of the two), short rib bbq which was tender & juicy, and the D&D fries which were served with a truffle cream dipping sauce and a spicy ketchup. Finished it all with chocolate bread pudding topped with roasted marshmallow ice cream. Every single item we ordered was tasty and came out fast! Great food, great service.
2 person tables are too close to other tables. If the couples are loud, you can only listen in their conversation without much choice.
Otherwise food is great and service was good.
I love to take friends because everyone enjoys it. It’s healthy Korean classic with a twist. The cocktails are among the best anywhere. Eating at the bar is what locals do.
This used to be my go-to when visiting South Beach. It was a secret gem along a nondescript strip mall that opened into a beautifully designed mood jungle with knock out Korean BBQ. No mas. Now there's a big sign, a bouncer. The interior is beat up with missing parts of the of hemp roping that gave it so much character. They were out of Mai Tai's at 8 PM (?) but said they had a similar drink which was essentially an egg nog. Wha? Once seated we ordered drinks and about 7 dishes. We asked them to space them out over time. They said they'd come out piecemeal as they were prepared. They arrived literally five minutes later all at once BEFORE our drinks. They were lukewarm at best. The fried chicken was under cooked and the batter was grainy. The once amazing Bao buns were still the same, but the duck filling was a ketchup-y paste with whatever amount of duck was within was lost. The crispy bok choy was the same though cold. The ribs were inedible: fatty with over spiced remoulade laid on top. Saddest was the stone pot rice which is supposed to be in a pot so hot, it creates a yummy crust on the bottom. Nope. Mush. I suspect they're cooking everything in advance to to push turnover. I was so fond of this place. So sad.
Celebrated my birthday here. The food/drinks were delicious and at the end they surprised me with a yummy chocolate ice cream dessert covered with chunks of brownies and sang me happy birthday.
Our waiter was excellent and the food was so delicious. Our Korean barbecue had such good quality.
Normally don't write reviews, but......there were two significant issues that made our dinner less than desirable. First, we were seated and when we placed our orders, were told that we were not at a table where we could cook our own food. We chose this restaurant specifically to cook our own items. We were confused as we were not given an "non cooking" table option when we made our reservation. The server told us the wait for that kind of table was 1.5 hours. Oh well, so much for that.
We then ordered a variety of dishes that were all well presented and tasty. In fact, we liked our Ramen order so much that when we went to pour ourselves a 2nd serving, we realized that our large bowl had mysteriously disappeared from the table. When we asked the sever, he said it was likely removed because they thought we were done with it. It was 50% full, and still steaming hot. It was probably on the table for less than 10 minutes, He apologized and offered us a whole new bowl, which we declined as it would have been too much food for our group.
It seems like a fun place, but they just need to slow down, allow people to eat the food on their table and make it clearer that their reservations for two different kinds of seating needs to be better spelled out.
Great food , a bit overpriced , love the fried bok choy
Not the restaurant it was when it opened. The food was not as tasty, and the service was very slow.
Awesome ambiance, service and experience with cooking the food at our table; the food was very flavorful.
Made a reservation but were kept waiting for 20 min past it. When I approached host, I was told a friend of the owner being present had resulted in our table being delayed. Overall, just felt the service was lacking, music was too loud in the dining room and the food, although good, didn’t make up for it. Overall, overrated.
Loved the food service very good. Only negative we made a reservation for 7:30 pm. And did not sit down until 8:15 pm. We were not interested in during at the bar.
