For more than 30 years, Elliott's Oyster House has been Seattle's showcase for Northwest seafood.     I walked into the restaurant and asked the hostess if she had availability for 2 to which she told me she didn’t have any tables until 8:30pm. I then hopped on to open table only to see that there were indeed two back to back reservation options for right then at 6pm. So I booked the 6pm and marched right back into the restaurant to show her that not only was their availability showing up online (not to mention several empty tables in the restaurant), but that I now had a reservation. To which she seemed embarrassed and tried to make up some excuse. Sitting down at our table finally and ordering $188 worth of food and drinks, you’d think you’d be getting some stellar food considering the 5,000+ reviews on open table and almost a 5 star rating… BUT NO. Honestly the worst food I’ve had in Seattle so far. This restaurant is over rated. The only good thing about my time here was our very enthusiastic and helpful waiter. Honestly he should even take his talents elsewhere. Zero stars from me!

    The rockfish never disappoints. Good here is amazing, and the service is good and reliable. We were celebrating our 53rd anniversary, and sourdough bread (delicious) and Guinness chocolate cheesecake made the celebration special. We will, of course, return. My only complaint-- and it is a tiny one-- is that the whipped butter could be better with the sourdough could be changed to a bonafide real butter of substance such as Land o Lakes. ☺️

    Great food and service. I had clam fettuccine my wife seafood risotto. I’d recommend the risotto. We also had the roasted oysters with garlic. So what is the 20% service charge, don’t know but we left a tip. Kind of makes it more expensive. We plan to return.

    Elliott's Oyster House has great food, usually great service, and a beautiful setting. Then they ruin it by adding a 20% service fee followed by the server saying they only receive "some" of the 20%, and implicitly asking for more. Elliott's is being unethical by doing this, putting servers in the awkward middle, and removing the incentive for good service. And they don't disclose this until the check comes. Hey, Elliott, be honest with your customers and employees. Just add 20% to your menu prices, which will increase tip amounts is the server is attentive. Return to honest business practices.

    Our server was MIA most of the lunch. We had to hunt her down several occasions. We found her at one point outdoors vaping and high. We plShe knew absolutely nothing about wine, my clam linguine was cold, the fish and chips were notably “fishy” and could not be eaten. Our white wine was not kept chilled despite asking for the table chiller. We asked for one drink and got another. When we asked for it to be removed she said it would be and then noticed later it never was. This was very sad as this was my daughters 21st birthday and it was not the celebration we had imagined nor was it the restaurant we have enjoyed in the past for many, many years. We will not be returning.

    Initially we were passed over by our waitress, but realizing her mistake, she came back with a very sincere apology. I’d come back for this alone, she was great and treated us well, even accelerating our dishes ahead of the previous tables she took orders from because of this mistake. Food was great, our waitress realized we ordered one entree and split it for us, it was very pretty. The real star though were the oysters. Do NOT pass up on a sampling of these delicious morsels.

    Our experience was underwhelming. The oysters were delicious and definitely worth the price. However, our service was extremely slow. We ordered 2 bottles of wine that were not actually available. So even when we switched to a glass they were so slow to come out that we were nearly done with our meal by time they came. The food was not particularly good. We felt unwelcome and not cared for.

    The food and drinks took forever! We waited 45 minutes for each round of drinks and the risotto which was ordered by two people at the table was completely and consistent. One was so spicy it was an edible and the other one was flavorful. Have been here before won’t be coming back

    We went in to celebrate a special occasion & had a lovely dinner. We ordered the potato bread & butter (delicious- not warm, but super fresh & tasty served w/ a ton of whipped butter) & crab cakes which were good, not great as appetizers. We shared the salmon entree (excellent fish, but the sides were so-so), and the beef short rib/scallop entree served with polenta which was delicious. Service was good, and we would go back again.

    Food was great, as always. Service was not. Had to ask for things like utensils, drink refills, etc. multiple times to the point of frustration. Ended up getting a spoon myself from the food counter.

    The oysters were decent, and maybe that's enough. But the King Salmon and the Shrimp salad (and the kids' burgers) were terrible. No flavor at all. I'm not sure how it has so many good reviews.

    Elliott's is always such a nice place to go to. It's been a while since I've been there so I took my girlfriend and her son there for the first time for Mother's day it was so welcoming. The staff were all so attentive. Dohui really knows how to make you feel at home. She is so amazing. The oysters were amazing and the food was cooked perfectly. I'll definitely have to good back sooner than last time.

    Had an amazing experience at Elliott’s. I didn’t mention anything about my birthday coming up but they went the extra mile to write me a nice birthday card. Our server was SO sweet and went above and beyond for my friend and I. Truly an unforgettable dinner and the food was delicious!
