Great food and service!
Fantastic first time Sushi
Went for the 5 Course Omakase option, definitely the best choice, such variety and all very delicious.
Wow, what a tasty meal of food. Very nice for me and my group of family. Yes please for more!
The Hida Beef sashimi is really good. The taste of it is very amazingly soft.
The Bento Box is made so delicately and the taste is also very good.
Eating with a beautiful girl, all great but wondering what wagyu looks like
Fabulous food - we had the special sashimi platter and it was spectacular. Highly recommended
The food overall was great especially the waygu beef. Staff were friendly. It was for our anniversary the restaurant had prepared a dessert for us. It was really lovely. Would highly recommend.
Food was amazing, unfortunately the service unflexibel and requests like changing the table (even so we were the only ones) or reducing the air conditioning (which was pointing to our table) could not be accommodated. Even with our jackets on we still were freezing, what a shame.
Went there for the anniversary with my girlfriend. Since the entrance to the restaurant the staff have been super welcoming and ready to help in all the way possible.
Drinks, food and service were outstanding. The chefs as well were super helpful and they help me too with my request for a anniversary dessert.
Had one of the best night ever! Super recommend 👌🏼
My wife and I visited the abbey road crossing. I noticed a French resturant near by and booked a dinner reservation. I have to say this was one of the best cookings I had for a long time. The reason why is that they choose the fresh ingredient and ripe it at the appropriate time, for example the tomato salad. The food presentation is very artistic. The background music and the wine were romantic. It is a very small place. So you feel like you are getting personal attention from the waitress. We enjoyed it very much.
Amazing food and excellent service. One if the few places in london where I will eat raw fish knowing that is fresh.
Overall restaurant is elegant and spotless clean.
One bad note is that the restaurant is tiny and tables are very close to each other meaning less privacy but again food is delicious
The food was delicious and despite the seemingly petite portions, I left full and satisfied with the food we ate on the 5-course omakase. The noise that trickles through from outside reduced the ambience somewhat, but otherwise we really enjoyed sitting at the counter, which was our preferred choice, watching the chefs cook. Although, other than the Kobe which was cooked in front of us, most of the other courses were prepared e.g. soups. Although the soup course for the chef's special was delicious, it didn't seem 'special' at all. I loved the presentation of the sashimi and the vegetables were marinated to perfection! And of course, the Kobe beef left us speechless!
Food was good but too expensive. The bill didn’t reflect the value of the dining experience. Service was very good
It was very nice food of high quality but the portions were very small. I was still hungry when I left after a 3 course meal.
We were served on a 9.45 seating so the restaurant was very quiet. I Was always under the impression that they just wanted us to leave.
Food quality was very poor comparing to other Japanese restaurants
For this amount of money other high end restaurants can offer much better food
This is the place if you want Kobe beef however I did feel rushed as they wanted the table. There was no gap in-between courses and the 5 course menu was done in a little over an hour.
The food was beautifully presented and the beef was out of this world.
Lovely evening...exquisite food and attention to detail. Worth the price tag!
Perfect birthday dinner :) we had the Omakase course. Thank you!
Have been here for a few times. Great sashimi quality as usual. Would like to see some variety to the menu if possible. Probably some variations on wagyu beef.
Great food and service as usual.
The tuna cheek was splendid!
A little cramped as this is a small restaurant, and the next table to us was a bit loud for no reason... the but the food and services always makes up for it!
Highly recommended is you love sushi and good Japanese food.
A good spot for planned catch ups, or special occasions.
I Had a great birthday here with my besties!*
The food is absolutely devine. Satisfied with every course.
Thanks to our sweet sweet engawa stuff!!! me n my friends can stop laughing enough when we saw the way they present my birthday cake!!! —
-My friend accidentally left her sweet potato snacks inside the cake box，(as they may thought is apart of the cake) and they nicely cut them in to diamond shape n decorated on top of the cake for me !!! Its superr cute n thank u so much for this extra special dinning experience.
very small restaurant with excellent food and service
Engawa is not a cheap night out! But it offers beautiful food and stunning presentation, every detail is considered, right down to the choice of tableware and choice of stemware for the drinks.....
Simply amazing food! The best dinner we’ve had in London!
Extremely worth the money
OUTSTANDING FOOD, GREAT SMALL RESTAURANT. WE HAD THE LATE LUNCH
Second time for us. This time, we went for the 5 course menu. Excellent. One of us had the sake wine pairing and I opted for 3 wines. The champagne was fine but the white (supposedly a "Chablis" ) and the red were really too basic for the price. Such a shame. I happen to be from the Chablis area and there was no way this was a Chablis. As to the red, I did not bother asking. The waitress and the rest of the staff were very nice, even if arguably quite keen to make sure you did not everstay your time slot. All in all, a pleasant dinner, but not entirely worth the price.
Service is very bad !
Love this place. Food is on point, service is lovely. Will definitely come back
Its a great restaurant for first time Omakase visitors. Proce wise its fair for the quality and service! But i think you should generally go here for special occasion. Was a great experience!
Love this place. Very good sushi and small and intimate place.
おいしかった でっすね！cuisine délicieuse et belle présentation.
Excellents saké pétillant et celui au yuzu était une belle découverte.
Decent sushi and steak. A bit fusion-y/experimental for my tastes.
The food was delicious and creative. We would have enjoyed more time between courses to properly enjoy the meal and would have liked slightly more attentive service.
Good food, with great sushi and sashimi and wagyu. Very small space, so be prepared to make space for the waiters move around. If they recommend a special, be sure you can afford it 😀 They aren't cheap and are not on the menu.
Amazing tasting, authentic food. Incredibly accommodating and friendly staff. We sat at the counter and it was fascinating watching the food be prepared with such expertise.
It is expensive but worth every penny.
Great food, great atmosphere. Very authentic. What a great place!
