   Overall a first class experience. Just be aware the fixed-price menu is the only option and it is currently $150/person excluding beverages.

   It’s always an amazing experience dining here, especially the chocolate soufflé dessert. The wait staff is second to none and always professional. I gave the food 4 stars because the wasabi on the shrimp was a serious shock to my brain, sinuses, and eyes. I’m fairly certain tears came to my eyes.

   Delicious as always, but I would like to have the option of à la carte choices as well. I normally don’t eat dessert and really don’t want to be forced to have dessert or pay for it

   The walk up to Fearrington House is exquisite, as is the house and modest history given on the menu. The service was impeccable. The menu had items I had never tried which is always a plus. I wasn’t wowed by all the choices I made, but I am okay with that as I was trying new things. The overall dining experience was quite nice.

   The chocolate souffle desert was outstanding. The duck was stringy and unacceptable. Everything else was interesting but not superb by any means. The wait staff was excellent. We had a VERY noisy table next to us of eight shrill women and could barely hear ourselves talk. Probably should have asked to be moved, or perhaps the wait staff should have suggested it. Nice interior decor. An interesting experience overall but I would not return.

   The Prix Fixe was wonderful as were the small appetizers. The chocolate soufflé was the highlight. Great wine selection. The wine pairings were top notch. Service was outstanding. Such a nice birthday celebration.

   We used to go here fairly regularly until Covid intervened and this was our first visit in some time. The chef has changed but the food is still excellent and the somewhat traditional style of the restaurant is a plus in this part of the world! Outstanding wine list too.

    Fearrington House is truly exceptional for that very rare occasion, unless you are very rich. The food is fantastic, the wait staff are phenomenal with great attention to detail and the setting is gorgeous. We treated ourselves to the prix fixe menu with paired wines. Very luxurious.

    Elegant and very refined. Food was amazing and artistic. Was prefect for a big birthday. I would highly recommend it for any very special occasion. Waitstaff was on point about everything.

    My friend and I booked this restaurant for our Valentines date together. The food and our waiter matched the price we paid but apparently the mean attitude we received from the manager of the restaurant defeated the whole atmosphere of the night. We reserved a table by the window but the manager lead us to a table by the wall. When we asked to switch to the empty table by the window, not only did she say the table was booked but she also said it in a discourteous and rude way. The whole table remained empty for the rest of the night. It was the worst service I’ve ever had received from a fine dining restaurant. I would encourage my friends to come if we had not experienced such a mean treatment from the manager. Hope this would change for future customers.

    This was our first visit and it's somewhere we've wanted to go for a long time. First, we had hoped to walk around the shops in the village before dinner but they closed at 5 on Saturday. Most shops stay open until 6 on Saturdays. There was not much ambience in the room we were seated in, although we passed several tables for 2 in the rooms with fireplaces (not reserved). Our waiter was average; not overly attentive. The menu was pre fixe which was a surprise to us because we looked at the menu online and it show a la cart items. Our total bill for 2 people pre-fix plus a botle of wine (ridiculously expensive at $65 for a savignon blanc and 2 pre-dinner martinis was over $350. We have eaten at many fine restaurants, including Michelin restaurant but the value for the money is not here. When making a reservation, ask for the rooms with the fireplaces. On a positive note, there were a couple of surprise palate cleansers from the chef and the chocolate souflle was to die for. The wine steward was very good.

    Great service, amazing food, beautiful atmosphere, a bit pricey but it was definitely an experience to enjoy the amazing artistry of the bar and kitchen. Would recommend for those looking for an upscale fine dining experience.

    Had a lovely birthday dinner this past Sunday. We are vegetarian and decided on the vegetarian tasting menu. The food was delicious. My only complaint is that by the time dessert came around I was too full from all the delectable courses to eat. The chocolate soufflé was amazing even though I could only eat a bite! Service was top notch and our head waiter recommended the perfect Pinot noir to complement our food. This is the perfect place for a special meal!

    This is the third time I’m having dinner here. The last two was not good but this one was wonderful !!! I decided to give another chance for this Restaurante and I did the right decision!!! Everything was perfect!!! I’ll be back for sure!!!

    By far the best dining experience my wife and I have ever had. Everyone we interacted with was exceptional in their performance. The food and wine paring by the sommelier was outstanding. The Fearrington House Resturant is a must dining experience!

    Fearrington never fails to please. The food is creative, delicious and visually perfect. Service is expert, our waiter and his aides were attentive and professional. The atmosphere is elegant, the fireplaces warm and inviting. Highly recommended.

    We hoped the Fearrington House would be a special treat, however, we were sadly disappointed in the very unimpressive food. The only redeeming factor about our dining experience was our amazing server, Kirstin. She was wonderful. She stepped in and helped us with wine choices after waiting far too long for the Sommelier, we finally gave up gave up and just decided to choose wine ourselves. Sadly the food is nothing special , even the famous chocolate soufflé was a disappointment. Would not return for food.

    It is challenging to identify fine dining near southern Virginia. However, Fearrington was one of the precious places I kept in my mind. We decided to visit there after the disastrous pandemic's impact on the culinary field-talents, patrons and restaurants with high spirits. Not too much to comment on our experience, but hoping to reestablish the fame and pride to keep the culinary culture decent in the united state.

    Three small mediocre courses for $125, A wine pairing consisting of 3 very small “3 ounce “ pours for $80. Ambiance good. Service ok (took our dessert to the wrong table) I have had the pleasure of dining at a lot of high end restaurants, but the value is just not there here.

    This is one of my favorite restaurants for very special occasions. The food is always excellent with enough of a selection to please just about anyone. The wine list and selection of spirits and cocktails is top notch. The servers and sommelier are very knowledgeable and open to any question one may have about toe food or wine.
