Best Comfort Food Restaurants in Fairfield

Excellent1! The host who greeted us was welcoming. The menu offered great variety delicious cocktails options. It was Thursday and they offered twin lobster tails which my husband raved about. I ordered fish and fish and chips. The cod was fried to perfection, crispy outside and flaky inside. Even the coleslaw! It was the best I've had. November is my birthday (yeah) and they offered us a complimentary desert. Husband and I shared the handheld apple pie. Delightful! Served warm with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and a drizzle of caramel. YUM!

The dishes were outstanding, and the service was equally exceptional. Our waiter was attentive throughout the evening, and we especially appreciated that our special occasion was thoughtfully acknowledged. The restaurant's ambiance is unique, elegant, and tastefully decorated, creating a wonderful setting for the meal. The only downside was the noise level, which was much louder than expected and detracted from the overall experience. For that reason, I'm deducting one star.

A top hamburger destination, the pork chop was thick and amazingly moist, and the chef’s selected wine list is appreciated. Steak frites also one of the best in the area.

Incredible. Authentic. Respectful. It’s Italy without the long flight. Owner is a great guy too. Worth your hard earned cash!!
