Best Comfort Food Restaurants in New Mexico

What a lovely authentic Italian restaurant! They make all their pasta in-house and have some wonderful choices like the buccatini carbonara and a special beef ragu filled large tortellini from the chef’s native region of Lucca. Excellent. Choices of appetizers- the arugula and pea salad was a standout, lamb skewers on lovely fluffy crisped focaccia also delicious. The veal Milanese cutlet was one of the best I’ve ever had. Altogether a wonderful surprise on the South side. Worth the drive over.

Osteria is simply FABULOUS! There were 6 of us, from different parts of the country, and we started by sharing wines and several appetizers (Fried Calamari, Beef Carpaccio, Zucchini Blossom Dumpling), and we all agreed everything was really tasty and delightful. For entrees, we ordered 2 Osso Buco, 2 Lobster Risotto, a Margherita Pizza, and the Lettuce Gorgonzola Salad. Everything was absolutely mouthwatering delicious, perfectly cooked, and beautifully plated as well – we all agreed that our dinners were the best tasting culinary masterpieces we’ve enjoyed in a long time. Service was constant and outstanding, ambience was enchanting, and prices very reasonable for such high-quality foods. Very highly recommended.

Fabulous out of the way spot outside of Santa Fe. Cozy atmosphere and warm staff. We loved our salads, Flank Steak, and pasta dishes.

Our first time here and just like others have said, the food was a few dollars more per item then other similar places, but the quality really was good and plenty of food. The service was exemplary and well worth the extra money. We will be going back for sure, so many good things to try. We went for breakfast.
