Best Cosy Restaurants in Englschalking

What a treat this was for our last night in Munich before heading home. We had had a busy 10 days of travel and wanted something quieter and special - this was perfect. Friendly staff, cozy atmosphere with plenty of ambience, amazing food and stellar wine list. I would’ve dined there more than once had I known! It is a true gem away from the crowds.

We had a wonderful and very enjoyable evening at Alois. The menu gave us the opportunity to try flavours and combinations that were new to us, while still feeling very well balanced. Coming from a Korean background, I particularly appreciated the use of kimchi. What impressed me was not simply its presence in the dish, but the understanding of fermentation behind it. It felt thoughtfully incorporated rather than used just for novelty, which I really appreciated. One of the biggest surprises for me was the veal liver. Initially I thought it might be a little too much for my taste, but it turned out to be one of the most interesting dishes of the evening, especially because of the fantastic sauce. The duck was also beautifully cooked, with an excellent texture and doneness. The German wine recommendation was another highlight. We trusted the recommendation and were very happy we did—it paired beautifully with the meal and introduced us to something new. The service throughout the evening was warm and attentive, and the additional birthday cake was a very thoughtful touch that made the occasion even more special. A memorable dinner with some genuinely interesting flavours. We left very happy and would definitely like to return and experience another menu in the future.

Beautiful and elegant environment, good quality food and great drinks. Quick and attentive service. As an Italian I always appreciated when places take you back and reminds of home.

Max & Moritz Tagesbar is one of my favorite spots in Munich for a relaxed drink or coffee during the day. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and a solid drinks menu — whether you’re stopping by for a quiet afternoon coffee or an evening cocktail. Highly recommend if you want a cozy bar experience in the city

The staf was super friendly and the food was incredible! Definitely worth going here! It also has a very cozy but classy vibe! 100% I will be back again amazing experience dinning here for Valentine’s Day
