We went on a Friday night to celebrate my boyfriend’s 40th birthday. Food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the place is beautiful. Had a wonderful experience overall. I would definitely visit this place again.

Food and beverages were well prepared and delivered at the proper temperature and were timed well. The seafood and crawfish fondue with garlic toast was fantastic as were the breakfast. Omelettes served with potatoes and cornbread. I would order the same meal over again

Always love Hudson House! Great food. Small but well executed menu and the servers are awesome and friendly every time. We had Gianna this time and she was amazing, but we also love Avi!!

Amanda gave great recommendations. Food was fantastic - Appetizers were Raw Scallops, Duck Poppers, Oyster Rockefeller, Gumbo; and Main Course was Red Snapper.

Absolutely loved our meal, delicious food and great wine. My only request would be for the chef to consider using gluten free soy sauce as there are a couple of dishes I couldn’t have as a coeliac but which would be fine save for the soy sauce. That should be a simple change. Definitely one of my favourite spots in Houston.

I'm happy to update my review with a well-deserved 5 stars. As previously mentioned, it's a beautiful restaurant, and service is incredibly welcoming, attentive, and polished. This time, every single bite of food was stellar. Of course, I had to have that incredible Caesar salad with its decadent fried croutons and delicious Boquerones. We also tried the shrimp toast, which was perfectly crispy yet not at all greasy - excellent! The scallop congee was soul-warming and, I swear, tasted just like the congee my mom made us as kids when we were sick. The crawfish risotto was punchy and savory with a hint of a kick. If the congee is sweet-natured comfort food, the risotto is its rebellious punk-rock cousin. Both were outstanding. Even the dessert - the fig tart - was a delightful surprise. Yes, we were very full - and yet we kept eating it: slightly figgy, nutty, and a sweet cream layer. The accompanying ice cream was the perfect partner: We all agreed this was truly a perfect meal!
