loved the interior, nice atmosphere in the restaurant with lots of good vibes! the food was amazing and i love their variability with vegan/vegetarian options. will def. come again!

Located in the heart of the Black Forrest the air feels and smells clean. The view from the elevated terrace is breathtaking with a field and large open space. Romantic lighting with a charming atmosphere. The owners are so knowledgeable of the area and are incredibly kind with special attention to what type of food I wanted. I am a celiac so I though I would be difficult but no ... Victor the chef / owner happens to be gluten intolerant so the whole menu except for 2 types of bread is gluten free. Victor sources his ingredients from local farms and is verv particular about quality. Best meal so far on my European trip. You wouldn't expect that after visiting Paris.

Restaurant was closed on the day we were there.Hotel is superclean and quiet, staff is very friendly and efficient and breakfast is great. We’ll be back !

We're regulars - even had our wedding celebration in the downstairs event venue in 2017 - and as such, we're used to being more than happy with the Dattler. This time around was no different from our previous visits: the food, the wine, the service - all absolutely exquisite. And as an added bonus you get the spectacular view of Freiburg and beyond, all the way across the Alsace to the Vosges mountains on a clear day. We're already looking forward to next time.
