My SpelHouse 91 class decided to gather since I was in town. I chose this place because it's Black-owned, and we are from an HBCU. I was really impressed with the ratings, and we decided this would be our place whenever we gather. We hope to gather in December to celebrate one of our famous classmates who is a renowned writer. Genesis was a stellar server. She allowed us to enjoy each other, and we didn't feel rushed or like we had to leave the table at a certain time. She explained the menu and was willing, kind, and just amazing. I've been a meeting planner for 30 years, and service and hospitality mean everything, brother.

Get these things out of the way: Menu and Food: 5 stars Decor and booth comfort: 5 stars Service: 5 more Respect: 5 stars Here are the more subtle things: 1. we wanted to split a burger. Without asking, it was cut in half, fries with each half, no extra charge. 2.. My friend and I wanted a long "catch-up" lunch. Anthony, our server did not hover but stayed in touch. He never rushed us or made us feel we needed to leave. We were there for 2 hours and had refills and requested items immediately. Well run and well done LEYE and SHoSM.
