- MMelBaltimore / Maryland •11 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoLast night we had an outstanding dinner at The Black Olive in Fells Point. From the moment we arrived, the experience felt special. We chose the Kir-Yianni “Ramnista” Xinomavro, and owner Dimitris personally brought the bottle to our table, opened it, and spent a few minutes chatting with us. His genuine hospitality and passion for Greek cuisine and wine set the tone for the entire evening. Our server, Robin, was equally wonderful—warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about both the menu and and food quality. We began with the Melitzanasalata, served with warm pita. The smoky grilled eggplant, garlic, balsamic vinegar, and olive oil created a rich yet refreshing spread that was impossible to stop eating. We also shared the Grilled Octopus Salad, featuring tender marinated octopus tossed with red onions and capers, and a Greek Village Salad bursting with fresh vegetables, feta, olives, and classic Mediterranean flavors. Everything was beautifully prepared and incredibly fresh. For our entrées, my mother enjoyed the Whole Mediterranean Sea Bass, expertly filleted. The fish was delicate, flaky, and perfectly grilled with a clean, fresh flavor that showcased the quality of the seafood. I chose the Wild Alaskan Halibut, which was equally impressive—firm, buttery, and cooked with the same simple elegance that allows exceptional ingredients to shine. The Ramnista Xinomavro was the perfect companion throughout the meal. Its bright acidity, red fruit character, and subtle earthy notes paired beautifully with the seafood and Mediterranean flavors. To top it all off, we dined outside on the charming cobblestone street, which added to the atmosphere and made for a relaxing summer evening. Between the exceptional food, thoughtful wine program, beautiful setting, and truly outstanding hospitality from Dimitris and Robin, this was one of the most memorable dining experiences we’ve had in Baltimore. Highly recommended. We will absolutely be back.More infoBlack Olive$$$$• Seafood• Fells Point•4.7

- RRebecca1 review5.0Dined on 8 Apr 2026Best brunch place i've found so far in baltimore. The food, service, and overall vibe are all excellent. We were a party of aid, including three children and were concerned that we'd have a long wait on a Sunday morning since it was very crowded. However, they got us seated in less than 30 minutes in the annex area, which has more space for the kids than the main dining room, which is a little crowded. Very well-thought-out and kid and family friendly restaurant. Large variety of sweet and savory breakfast, brunch, and lunch dishes. The lamb shank was delicious, as was the grilled cheese sandwich , vanilla french toast was the french toast of the month for January, and was layered with cream sauce and fruit. The hot honey chicken deviled eggs were unique in the eggs being breaded and fried as well as the chicken. Good selection of brunch coffee selection as well. The servers were attentive without being bothersome, check on us and refilling our water and coffee as needed. Overall, a very satisfying and tasty brunch for our large family group.More infoTwist Fells Point BYOB$$$$• Mediterranean• Fells Point•4.2
