Best Restaurants for Outdoor Dining in NODA

Fabulous dinner, wine selection and service. It’s now our favorite restaurant in Charlotte!

I searched for a unique place for lunch. I got exactly what I asked for and more. What an experience in the outdoor seating, nature all around you with bamboo, cedar trees (150 years) and beautiful blue sky. When we walked in Grace greeted us and asked about our birthday celebration. That impressed me as I had done that at another restaurant, it was never mentioned. Grace asked us a few questions about my birthday and how we came to find Goodyear restaurant. I mentioned my hunting of unique places to eat (no chain restaurants). We found a great place to have lunch. I mentioned the nature setting of cedar trees. It was massive. Greg, the manager came over talked a bit about the trees. Greg was attentive in answering questions. The menu was simple, but complex dishes. Two of our group had the fish of the day meal, another had The Chief Burger and I had the portobella pastrami meal. I took a risk on this meal as I’m a burger guy. I was quite surprised and impressed with the sandwich. I didn’t miss the meat part of the meal. Sister-in-law had a mimosa and asked if the lavender lemonade could be added to the drink, beautiful purple color. I would suggest adding it to your mimosa drink list. Grace came over to ask if we wanted dessert, at first we were like no. I’m celebrating 60 years and happy to be alive after my transplant 2 years ago. I asked what desserts they had, Grace talked about Peach Cobbler and then she mentioned Strawberry Cornbread Cake. I had never had that dessert before. We ordered one for the table to share. It was not a heavy dessert the right sweetness. After you leave a restaurant some things stay in your memory of I want that again and again! Well the PORTABELLO MUSHROOM REUBEN "pastrami," vegan smoked gouda, saeurkraut, 1K dressing, on rye and Strawberry Cornbread Cake. Will always be on my palate of dishes I want again. Thank you Grace and Greg for taking good care of our first time, want be our last time.

Food was excellent and our server was second to none. The only damper was a male bartender who consistently treated us with the friendliness of a prison guard. He could hardly be bothered to speak to us or serve us our drinks. As a first impression, he really brought down the overall experience because we were excited to celebrate a special weekend with our family. Would have given 5 stars otherwise! Thank you to our server who made the night wonderful after that. She was excellent.

Wonderful brunch menu. Nice balance of traditional breakfast fare and more adventurous lunch items. French toast was great.

We were a party of 5 Sunday night after a show. The waitress Mimi was awesome. Attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and priced well. It was refreshing.
