Best Restaurants for Outdoor Dining in University City

It was a perfect fall day and the food and service were wonderful, as always. A table for 8 had been arranged on the patio in the shade (as requested) for the start of their brunch service. The gathering was enhanced by mellow guitar music. Thank you for the attention and service of the wait staff. 💕

I have never had a bad meal or service with Charlie Gitto’s. It is worth the drive regardless of distance to the hill. You are never rushed everything is perfectly timed throughout the meal for your enjoyment. Great place to celebrate a special event

Bar Italia has a fabulous outdoor patio and we had the perfect weather night for it. The food and wine were delicious and the servers couldn’t have been more attentive. All in all, a great evening.

Great stop before the Muny show on a Tuesday night. They were busy, but conscientious of the time it took to get our food and manager to explain came unprompted to explain. We will go again.

Was surprised that there were only two other occupied tables during my dinner visit because the food and prices were great! The chef came out to say hello and I asked him if he could make mashed potatoes with chicken picatta and he said he didn’t have them made yet so there might be an extra wait. Boy was it worth it!! Best chicken picatta ever! Drink prices during happy hour are very inexpensive.
