I haven't been to McCormick & Schmick in years and I don't recall the customer service being as top notch as it was last night! The front desk gentleman, our server and the manager who checked on us were all extremely friendly and professional! The food was delicious as well!

The food, the sommelier, and the service by Blair - who was very thoughtful and looked after me (as a diner of just one!), was fantastic. One of the best, if not the best, restaurants, in Baltimore.

We had a wonderful experience! We felt like we had stepped back in time to almost a "gatsby" era restaurant. Very elegant but not over the top formal. Our waiter, Bob, was no spring chicken but he was efficient and personable as well as VERY knowledgeable about the menu. He made great recommendations. This was a business dinner and my colleagues were impressed. Definitely on my "next time we're in Baltimore" list!

My husband and I went for a romantic birthday dinner. All of the staff were friendly and attentive. The restaurant was quiet at 7 on a Friday. The beef Wellington was melt in your mouth tender. The New York strip with peppercorn sauce was flavorful and perfectly cooked. We will definitely go back.

My friend and I came on a Thursday for the "Thursdays with Gertie" menu and enjoyed the $36 3-course dinner. Everything was delicious. My friend had been looking forward to again having the Maryland Pan-Fried Chicken, only served on Thursday nights, and she was very pleased. We each enjoyed the Cinda's Garden Salad (so delicious!), and for the first time I had the Salmon Alla Bella. I was so pleasantly surprised by this dish and enjoyed every bite! Lastly, our dessert choices, Miles’ Much-Loved Carrot Cake and Charlottetown Farm Goat Cheesecake, were to die for. Service was outstanding, and the ambiance was just right. We will certainly be back to Gertrude's! I highly recommend this gem of a restaurant.

    THE MUSSELS ARE THE BEST WE HAVE EVER HAD ANYWHERE, INCLUDING IN ITALY. EVERY DISH IS SO GOOD, BUT WE MUST ORDER PASTA SINCE IT IS HOME MADE AND ALWAYS OUTSTANDING. THE DRINKS AND DESSERTS ARE JUST AS OUTSTANDING AS THE ENTREES AND APPETIZERS. POLENTA IS A FAVORITE. GROWING UP WITH ITALIAN IMMIGRANTS COOKING EVERY MEAL, I CAN HONESTLY SAY THAT SOTTO SOPRA IS THE BEST ITALIAN CUISINE IN BALTIMORE. CONGRATULATIONS TO THE OWNER AND STAFF FOR DELIVERING AUTHENTIC, FRESH AND INOVATIVE MEALS! AUGURI!

    Tagliata was truly one of those special dining experiences that stays with you. From the Sicilian salad and perfectly prepared calamari to the smoked duck, every dish was wonderful. But the Chocolate Semifreddo was simply unforgettable — without a doubt, the best dessert I have ever had. What made the experience even more special was the warmth and hospitality of the two Victors. They welcomed us and took care of us as though we were longtime friends, making every visit feel personal and genuinely special. We loved it so much that we returned three days in a row. That really says it all. Tagliata is a beautiful combination of exceptional food, wonderful people, and true hospitality. We can’t wait to return. ❤️
