What a gem! A beautiful atmosphere just steps from our hotel. A wonderful way to spend our final evening in the UK. The food, wait staff and lovely warm setting was perfect for couples or friends gathering. A definite must try!

Had a lovely birthday meal here with friends. The service was very attentive and positive, really lovely chap who welcomed us in and he and others kept checking up on us. The delivery of food was quite slow but once it came, it was beautiful and delicious and the dessert was outstanding (cinnamon/apple mille-feuille) both in appearance and taste, clearly the chef has a good patisserie eye/experience, we said it was the best pudding we'd had in a long time. I would highly recommend.

Very friendly welcome and excellent customer service throughout our visit. We were able to sit by the river and the ambience was just perfect. The meal was serviced in a timely manor and was hot and tasty. All of the staff were dressed smartly and gave service with a smile.

    First visit to Gino’s. Loved the atmosphere in this authentic Italian restaurant. We had pastas and pizzas and they were all delicious. The staff were brilliant, very friendly and helpful. The house red wine was very good. Price for 4 people was good value, especially for central Oxford. Highly recommended! We’re looking forward to returning.

    It takes a lot to impress me and I don't often write reviews unless I feel the establishment deserves praise or constructive feedback. I can honestly say I can't find anything but positive things to say about The Plough Shiplake. First visit and it won't be the last. I had a burger and it was the best burger I've ever had I reckon. Very 'beefy' with all the trimmings, stacked beautifully and the fries were cooked to absolute perfection. Very impressed and look forward to a return visit one day :-)
