Best Restaurants for Foodies in Chestnut Hill

I honestly think this may be the best restaurant in Philadelphia. Hyper seasonal dishes, executed perfectly. Thoughtful wine and cocktail list, amazing cheese board. Appetizers: don't miss riccota gnudi,corn soup, meatballs. Mains: Best chicken in town, ravioli are amazing as well. You can't go wrong with anything however. Desserts amazing as well including the donuts and the blondie skillet. Ambience perfect both indoors and in the garden. Top this off with the best hospitality and service in Philadelphia. If you're only going to eat at one restaurant in Philly, Talulas is the spot. We have been coming here for years and will continue.

I can’t even describe the meal we had and how wonderful it was. We were celebrated our son’s 30th birthday ! They made everything so special, including a baked Alaska with a candle at the end of the meal! Everything from soup to nuts was excellent! Casey our server was a standout! He was so knowledgeable about all the wines he paired with our meal and just a genuinely nice guy! We will 100% be back!

We've dined at a.kitchen about five times and it has become one of our favorite Center City places. On this visit we enjoyed the confit duck leg and the garlic gnocchi for our mains, in addition to a squash soup and a salad for starters. All were delicious and especially so because our server suggested wines that complemented each dish perfectly. It amazes me that some people think of a.kitchen as a burger place -- it so much more!

It was the very first time that three of us visited this brand new restaurant in Ft Washington. As soon as we entered the restaurant, our jaws dropped because we couldn't get over how absolutely stunning the venue looked. We got an awesome greeting from Hamilton, the hostess. Her dazzling smile and upbeat personality really set the tone for the evening. We enjoyed our conversation with her as she showed us to a wonderful table by a window. Our server Carly came over and highlighted various items on the menu for us because it was our first time there and guided us through some of our choices. As we enjoyed our cocktails, we looked over the vast variety of items on the menu and had a really tough time narrowing down our choices. We decided on the crab cocktail, cavatelli pasta & caesar salad for our appetizers, all of which were absolutely delicious. For our entrées we had the halibut which was presented just beautifully and the sauce that it came with was to die for and we also ordered the Bronzino. We concluded this awesome dinner with the olive cake which was super yummy. We really have to thank Carly for her attentiveness and her sense of humor throughout our dinner. We also wanted to mention that we saw Jonah, who was our favorite server at Jansen restaurant, it was so good to see him again. And we also want to thank Mateo for taking so much care in packaging all of our leftovers and being so friendly in the process. I have to also mention that the birthday boy really appreciated his very extravagant gift from the restaurant, cannot tell you how much of a surprise that was and how much he appreciated it. Thanks again to everyone for making this an "over-the-top" dining experience. It blew us away on so many different levels. We can't wait to return and introduce the rest of our friends and family to this awesome restaurant.
