Butterjoint is a comfy bar and restaurant located in North Oakland. Our welcoming and eclectic atmosphere is appropriate for almost any occasion - whether it be meeting a friend for a drink, celebrating an important event, or relaxing after work. Our menu is a mixture of familiar Pittsburgh foods (think pierogies, hamburgers, French fries) and French bistro classics (beef tartare, raclette, mussels), and seasonal classics that come and go throughout the year. We put care into our vegetarian dishes too, including making our own tempeh, falafel, and veggie patties from scratch. Menu items change frequently--usually every day--and reflect many long-standing relationships we have with farms and breweries in our region. In addition to reservations, we also have a thirty seat bar that is first come, first serve. We don’t know exactly how old the bar is, but it’s at least seventy years old (probably older) and very cozy. Our friendly bartenders are here to make something you like.

    Senti is always the perfect choice! Chef Antonio always greets us as though we have been friends for years. We are always treated as though we are the only people there. His food is exceptional and his staff is professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. We have dined at Senti many times because we know it will be outstanding each and every visit. Thank you!

    My wife and I celebrated our 48th anniversary and couldn’t be more pleased… the restaurant is elegant, and the food was exceptional from our appetizer, salads, main course and dessert.. what made the experience so special was our waiter. Jared was so helpful with the details of each item on the menu. He is a very personable and fun man to interact with. He truly made our evening special
