Best Restaurants for People Watching in Huntington Park / Bell / Maywood

Saffys is one of the best iterations of Mediterranean cuisine. With an Israeli executive chef and Egyptian pastry chef you get one of the best mixes of flavors with influences from all over that region. My mouth was watering from anticipation but once the hummus hit the table with fresh baked challah bread the wait was no more. We had the lobster skewers, and green falafel and then a bone marrow and beef ayaeres, we paired that with mother of hen mushrooms and finished with the schwarma plate beef shishlik and lamb kebab. Every dish was perfectly balanced and gave us a taste of the spice traded Middle East. I took my father and girl friend for a night out on the town and left with our bellies full and experience fully fulfilled.

It was a wonderful experience. The food is beyond delicious. The atmosphere is so wonderful you forget you're on a busy corner in downtown Los Angeles. Great service; attentive, great recommendations, and friendly.

Chef Neil did not disappoint! Wow, RedBird is a hidden gem within the downtown L.A. area. I was impressed with the rehab of the former St.Viviana Cathedral sanctuary! The food and ambiance at Redbird were simply excellent, and worth the drive in. I highly recommend RedBird to anyone looking for a memorable and delicious restaurant to visit.

Food was absolutely delicious, and the fish was incredibly fresh! 🐟 We had the sashimi, seaweed salad, chicken slaw, and a fish plate with broccolini and a side of mushrooms. Every dish was packed with amazing flavor, but the sauces were definitely the highlight! 🤤 Located right next door to the NOVO Theater, which is super convenient when attending a show. Such a great spot for dinner before a night out! Totally recommend Katsuya, we will definitely be returning! ❤️🍽️
