A truly high-end dining experience, in a neighbourhood of Berlin (Lichterfelde) that mostly has somewhat dull family Italian, Thai or traditional German restaurants. As we'd not visited before, our charming server showed us into the "original" part of the womens' prison - now an artists' community. Then onto the garden - very quiet and peaceful. The food is excellent, based on very good ingredients, thoughtful flavour combinations and beautiful presentation. Superb service, from a very knowledgeable server, in both english and german. A really excellent evening - thank you.

Incredible food. Wonderful service. Fantastic ambiance. This was our first time visiting this restaurant, and we were very impressed. I would highly recommend a visit for anyone curious. We had the grilled oysters, the beef tartar, and the beetroot and cheese salad. All were incredible but the beetroot and cheese was very special. We both went for the bœuf bourguignon which was mouth wateringly delicious. We could have licked the plate clean as the sauce was so good. The deserts were also very charming. The crème brûlée was very generously sized and beautifully creamy and custardy. The sorbet and frangipane dessert was excellently balanced and was not overly sweet. The staff were very pleasant to deal with and were all highly professional. They explained each item on the menu in both German and English and were very attentive.

We had a superb seasonal chanterelle dinner, down to every detail: The breads came with a delightful dill and lemon zest butter; chanterelles dominated the salad appetizer, which also included spiced peaches; then risotto had an intense flavor with numerous chanterelles; a plate of natural chanterelles had chunks of pretzel dumplings and the pike filet supplement was nearly a meal in itself. The outdoor ambiance was perfect (we have also dined indoors and the restaurant is lovely) and the service was flawless.

First time in Berlin and I was solo. This place was recommended to me and it couldn't have been a better spot. The staff, the food, the ambience. And the staff gave me wonderful recommendations for the next day, Café am Neuen See. Had the best time in the park. Will be telling everyone I know how goes to Berlin to make a reservation.
