As a party of 2, we thoroughly enjoyed the dining experience at Flour and Wood. We ordered a funghi pizza, shrimp alla vodka (a special), and tiramisu to share. The portions were just right. The oyster mushrooms on the pizza were delicious, and the ricotta dip for the crust, with olive oil and butter, complemented the crust well. Our favorite was the shrimp alla vodka: the shrimp were very tender, with delicious crispy flakes, shell, and vodka sauce. We could eat more of it! The tiramisu was nicely put in a steel cup, not too sweet, with a strong espresso flavor to my liking. Would love to come again!

Beautiful restaurant, we sat in the main dining room but outside space looked lovely. Food very good, burrata starter was excellent. Steak frites very good. Homemade pastas and crab cakes all delicious. On the expensive side at $40+ for most mains.

My friend and I came on a Thursday for the "Thursdays with Gertie" menu and enjoyed the $36 3-course dinner. Everything was delicious. My friend had been looking forward to again having the Maryland Pan-Fried Chicken, only served on Thursday nights, and she was very pleased. We each enjoyed the Cinda's Garden Salad (so delicious!), and for the first time I had the Salmon Alla Bella. I was so pleasantly surprised by this dish and enjoyed every bite! Lastly, our dessert choices, Miles’ Much-Loved Carrot Cake and Charlottetown Farm Goat Cheesecake, were to die for. Service was outstanding, and the ambiance was just right. We will certainly be back to Gertrude's! I highly recommend this gem of a restaurant.

Excellent experience, the food was delicious, staff very attentive and atmosphere was perfect. I usually get the lamb chops, but tried the Chilean Sea Bass with crabmeat and it was delicious. Husband had the scollops and lobster risotto and the flavor was EXCELLENT! Yes, we will be back!
