Another great meal, came for a business meeting and shared everything. Its hard not to get the Truffle fried rice and Karage chicken, this time we shared the Halibut and it was cooked with a crusted top - I also decided to try the NA cocktails and had the Lo Ball, it was a nice addition to create the full cool restaurant vibe / scene.

Darren is the perfect cozy neighborhood spot for drinks and dinner. As long as Darren keeps making his signature lobster chowder we will be coming back!

Have always liked Hook & Plow. Very reliably good food and well-run restaurant. Also, the vibe is relaxed and you can hear everyone at your table speak, unlike some of the other spots on Pier Ave. Can highly recommend. My only reservation from providing a full 5-star review this time around was related to the fact that the daily catch was identified as striped bass. We ordered that (at 6:30pm) and were told 5 minutes later that they were out and were substituting Branzino (also a type of bass). Usually love their Branzino. So, all good. Except when it came out, the filet was small and thin. Probably less than 3 oz of edible meat in the dish. We all stub our toe once in a while. So, not enough of a problem to keep us from going back. Just not up to the standards we are accustomed to from H&P. Still highly recommend.

I had only been to Tower 12 before for a happy hour in the past so this was the first time I was there for a meal. I had the happy hour special tomato soup with grilled cheese and it was so good! In addition, I had the kale and rotisserie chicken salad, which was also phenomenal and my friend had a Caesar salad which she enjoyed.

Fantastic birthday dinner with my wife. Service was on point, wine decanted beautifully, cocktails immaculate. My dry aged steak was delicious, and my wife’s rack of lamb was incredible. Amazing baked Alaska for dessert, very memorable evening.
