I made the trip over after a 14 hour work day, exhausted, just wanting a sit down and simple vegan meal. But instead got some of the best food I've ever eaten, most delicious cocktails and absolutely wonderful staff. I was on my own, but was seated quickly, dealt with like I was important and a friend and never felt out of place. I got the pickle plate (hot bread, whipped butter and pickled veg) - absolutely phenomenal, especially the whipped butter. Wow. The honey chik'n kimchi burger thing, which was crunchy, tasty, packed full of filling (mushrooms!) and actually quite spicy, and came with a side of chips. So good. Thank you everyone who I spoke to.More infoLove Shack££££• Vegetarian / Vegan• Bethnal Green•4.9
- MMatejBrighton •2 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoWe had a fantastic evening at Fumiko. It's one of the best Japanese meals we've had in a long time, and it genuinely took us straight back to our trip to Japan. Everything tasted fresh and carefully made. The sushi platter was the highlight, with beautiful eel and avocado rolls, crispy tempura prawn rolls, tuna maki and delicate yellowtail sashimi. The tempura was light and crisp, the seaweed salad was full of flavour, and the cocktails were creative and gorgeous. The interior is stunning, stylish and calm with lovely Japanese touches. A huge thank you to Priscilla, who was warm, attentive and made the evening even better. We were surprised how quiet it was midweek, because this place deserves to be packed every night. Absolutely worth it, and we'll definitely be back.More infoFumiko££££• Japanese• Hornchurch•4.8
