The Pizza base was NOT the correct dough base to make a Pizza, try a trip to Italy then you will understand how to make a Pizza. The ambiance was sterile and more like a railway waiting room but perhaps that’s what people like.
Will not go back
Need somewhere close to theatre , waiter pleasant who initially served us. Took awhile for them to come back for drink/food order. Food arrived very quickly from ordering, food ok. Deesert menu came more or less after took plates away, no one came back for order for over 15 minutes, very apologetic. The problem we had overall was the bill! Service charge on, we deceided to pay it, we paid cash so change should be £6, we were asked if we wanted change, err yes, your already charging us service charge, we were then short changed which we told the waiter and he was very rude, made a big deal of taking it out of his own pocket , he tried to embarrass us, that’s not ok! You need to be nice to your customers you need them!!!
Ambience is pretty good and the staff are friendly, but I wasn’t impressed by the vegan pizza and the pasta was very overpriced for something that looked like threw together in 10min at home. The chilli poppers were extremely oily and far too salty. The cheese tasted exceedingly strong on the pizza and the pizza itself just seemed to fall below the standards that I’d been used to in the distant past when this place used to always be so full that you couldn’t get a table. This time it was pretty empty. Disappointing, but I’m sure with the right changes they can revive this place.... fingers crossed when I visit again I’ll have a better dining experience, because they had built up great credit from the past, I’d still give it another try.
Great food and service as usual, initially couldn't get through to book a table on the phone but booked through this site.
The atmosphere in the restaurant was great, and ambience and lighting. The food was great only complaint was that the base of the pizzas had a lot of flour on it. Other than that great place for dinner.
Service was lacking...we had to ask multiple times for the simplest of things...we asked for water and didn’t receive it until the end of our meal.
Cold food, wrong order was also brought out to us and had to wait for new to be cooked. Restaurant was also cold with air con blowing onto us.
Booked for 12 and orders were taken in advance. All came as ordered excellent service and value
We unfortunately sat behind a group celebrating a birthday. It was 5:30pm and they created an environment unsuitable for children. Would not go back.
Mediocre food. Bad service. We were a party of 4. Only 3 of us received our entrees at the same time. About 15 mins after we finished eating, the 4th entree arrived. They took it off the bill but big deal, the meal was still ruined.
The pizzas were good and the service was good. I had the vegan pizza which was very tasty. I noticed that the menu on the website had more world pizzas, but the menu we were given did not have all the dishes on offer.
The lighting was too dark to read the menu.
Also we were not informed of any special offers on which were shown in the website.
Loved this place, good variety of food, reasonable pricing, gorgeous generous cocktails. Quick service and optional gratuity, instead of automatically adding it. If you need a restaurant in covent garden go here, its fab
La comida ni valia mucho, los camareros estaban saturados y no anotaron bien en pedido, trajeron varias cosas mal..habíamos terminado varios de comer mientras otros no habían empezado
El ruido ensordecedor
Great vegan pizza and has space for a large party as well as kids menu.
Last minute anniversary dinner.
Starters bbq and spice wings to share
Mains Melbourne and New Yorker burgers
Will try something different if we go again.
Lovely food, love the pizza selection. Staff nice but appear quite lazy and could be much more attentive.
We had a discount though the Gourmet Society so it was a great value. The pizza was good but overdone resulting in very hard crispy dough. I would have have liked it softer, but nevertheless it was tasty.
Service was terrible. Our waiter got our order wrong twice. Pizza is average.
I adored this restaurant for its ambience and laid back atmosphere. The food was “half and half” so to say. My boyfriend LOVED his pizza so much, my Greek style pizza with hummus was.... a little dry - but maybe that was just down to my choice!
Service a little rushed for a Tuesday night, starters arrived before drinks! But other than that, it was wonderful. Great value for money.
Lovely food and a very nice atmosphere on a hot day in London!
Good food, reasonably priced and a nice selection of cocktails. Would advise booking ahead as it got very busy around 6.30.
A nice find among
the food was good, at a great price for london - especially covent garden.
interesting menu, and intriguing cocktails (loved the drinks).
Sadly the air conditioning was broken and we were a party of 10 and in general there were a fair few people in the restaurant we were sweltering - can only imagine how hard it was for the staff in the kitchen and the waiters running about.
But had a lovely meal as a whole and would come again.
Good food - not great service ... place was quiet quiet but they kept rushing us
Went on a Monday, good atmosphere. Had pasta that was on the bland side, it was just a veggie tomato pasta. Other people’s food on the table looked decent. Got a discount with the tastecard so made it great value.
Everything was average.
Everyone’s food was good, piping hot and not over priced. Servers weren’t all attentive and we needed to go over to the bar to get drinks initially as we’d been left too long with the menus. We paid in cash for those drinks, but they appeared on the bill at the end of the night. It is a very busy restaurant and I think a couple of extra staff and some more training would make this a great place.
There were various minor glitches: they had no record of our OpenTable reservation, a request for bread without olive oil and rosemary (for children) took a while to be acted upon and we were again given bread with oil and rosemary, children's burgers were overdone. But we had a good time, two diners enjoyed their salads and the waitress was charming and apologetic and it was reasonable value.
Loved the pasta there
The kind of place you take your teenage kids and their friends on a birthday. At £30 a head (starter, main, drinks) the food comes no where close to bring worth it. Happy they were able to seat 10 of us with a few days in advance, but was expecting a lot more for an average priced place in Central London.
Food was ok, service was not great, took a long time and she didn't want to serve.
We used to come here almost weekly when we worked in the area. It has since become incredibly overpriced for what it is. Great format for a group gathering but be prepared to pay more than you expect. Shame as we do like the place.
We had a really nice meal on Saturday night. Food was excellent but we found our waitress a bit grumpy. Maybe she was having a bad day so we'll excuse her and it wont stop us going back! On another note, we has espresso martinis which were very small and didnt reach the rim of the glass, make them a bit bigger!
Ordered two pizzas, they came with little topping , more dough than meat or source . Ordered a desert which was like rubber. Service ok but very noisy place
Very young crowd, noisy. good with kids
Overpriced and uninspiring
Good place for quick tasty food
They used to do loads of pizzas and really unusual toppings but they’ve reduced their menus and added new things like burgers which is a shame in my opinion
However still tasty
Great for groups, with a good selection of dishes to suit most people’s tastes at affordable prices in a great central location.
The service was super and the children menu was good value, plus the pizzas were fantastic. The pizza options are different to your standard Italian options and represent food themes from different countries. Great toppings.
