I met my family for lunch in Frederick and choose Firestone's because I've been there before and had a good experience. I knew that much of the dining room is on the second floor and my mother is in her late 80's so I asked them to put us near the door in my OpenTable reservation. They literally put us at the window table right inside the front door (thank you!). Food was very good, service was great and a good time was had by all.
A bit disappointed in food quality for price. Love the atmosphere and staff was great
Firestone’s bar commands most of the first floor. Second floor dining tables allow views of the fun below. The noise level intensified as the evening progressed, but the vibe definitely enjoyable.
The restaurant staff was very friendly and accommodating, considering that we were eleven adults at two tables. Everyone loved their dinner selections. I chose the lamb chops, bar none the best I’ve tasted. I highly recommend Firestone and hope you have as good a time as we did.
We met friends at Firestone's for a Saturday brunch. The food was amazing and the staff were A-number One! Definitely will be returning to try the other yummy looking dishes offered on the menu.
Best truffle fries I’ve ever had–and I’ve had a lot. The steak & cheese practically melted in our mouths. Really great lunch!!!
The tasting menu was amazing. Everything was delicious!
Savory food. Well-designed desserts. Justine did a wonderful job serving. We will be back!
The food is phenomenal. Service was phenomenal. I’m so glad I found this place.
Excellent Jalapeño Margarita and Wagyu sirloin
My husband and I have lived in Frederick for over 20 years. Though we have been to many other restaurants around town, last night was our first time at Firestone's for dinner. We had an extremely delicious meal from start to finish. The service was very good and the atmosphere was just what we expected for a downtown tavern setting. We definitely plan to go back.
Food good, service good. We enjoyed our lunch. Thanks.
Amazing food with great options (Don't forget to get dessert!), and a wide variety of fun drinks. The staff is wonderful too!
Amazing food and service. Would recommend and will definitely visit again
As many restaurants, Firestones is short staffed and our wait times were longer than pre-Pandemic. That being said, all of the staff are friendly, efficient and working their hardest. Our special request to sit in the window was accommodated. One of our favorite restaurants!
I had the jerk shrimp with pineapple salsa rice appetizer with the field greens salad. After looking at a nifty looking milkshake picture online, I also ordered a pistachio cherry milkshake. It was way too much food. Although smaller than a entree salad, it was still larger than a side salad; it was delicious. I woofed it down before I remembered to take a picture of it. The same thing with the jerk shrimp and rice; five shrimp and a sizable amount of rice. The milkshake was delicious; it had huge chunks of cherries in it. I packed most of the shrimp and rice to-go; the salad and milkshake filled me up. There was a moderate noise level around me, nothing distracting. Beautiful wood decor, balcony seating upstairs. I sat about 6 feet from the door across from the bar. Because of Open Table, I had a table waiting for me when I checked in at the door. My waiter took a bit of time to get to me but once he got started, he took care of my order and got my food to me quickly; a very pleasant, overly apologetic young man. I had a very wonderful evening
Firestone's appetizers and entrees are truly exceptional. From the tuna tartar, to the rockfish ceviche, to the foie gras, to the scallops, to the clams fettuccini, to the duo of duck, to the soft shell crab, it is all AMAZING! When they are busy, sometimes one has to wait a few minutes on more water or another drink. I have found their desserts a tad inconsistent: the poached peach heartbreakingly small, the strawberry rhubarb was good, and the coffee bavorois was incredibly delicious.
This is the type of place that would deserve a Michelin star in a bigger city, as in, if you are in Frederick, you should eat here. Not every dish is “the best thing ever eaten” but there are enough things here that are off the charts delicious. Our personal service was acceptable, waitress being extremely friendly, taking good care of our table, bussers are 20 somethings and act accordingly. It is not “fine dining” it is “fine dining food/cocktails” at a pub. It is noisy, relaxed, unpretentious and a memorable experience.
Highlights: jalapeño Margarita, Imberico Chorizo, oyster selection, pork belly (breadless blt)
Great food! The chef is very creative and presents an outstanding meal each and every time!
Amazing food and service!
Excellent food and service. Fine dining selections at a reasonable price. Will definitely return!
Best Grouper dinner since I left St. Pete in 1987.
Our server was excellent as always! Alice is pleasant and always provides exceptional service each time we’ve come there.
This was a great place for a date! The food was amazing! The drinks were great too!
Excellent service and everything was delicious. Will definitely be returning
Food and service was fabulous. Great experience and will definitely be back
Everything from appetizers, sandwiches, and brunch around $15. Cocktails were $10. Server was friendly and attentive. Food was decent, hash browns were spectacular! We got chicken and biscuit, eggs stroganoff, coffee, gin cocktail and cobbler for dessert.
Great service! Great food! Super ambiance!
It was my mother’s birthday! Great service and they sat us at a table looking out to the street. Wonderful experience and would definitely recommend.
Food was good but pricey. Loud there. Waiter helpful but was told they booked our table amd gave us a 10 minute warning
Had some friends over for lunch. They were very pleased and said they would pass on their recommendation. Wait staff was great, food was delicious.
Wonderful food. Service a little off we never got bread
All the food here was delicious The sandwiches were a great size and the homemade pasta in the beef stroganoff was great. The only complaint the the Kale Salad. It was literally a bowl of Kale with just a small amount of chicken. It was suppossed to have Quinoia in it and it did, but about a tablespoon on the bottom of the dish. If I had not ordered the awesome berry cobbler I would of left hungry.
Our waitress was extremely friendly and attentive. She made our dinner extra special with her happy disposition and excellent service. We did not have to wait for each course because our waitress kept things rolling from appetizers, entrees, and dessert. This was a Birthday dinner for our friend and she got to pick a dessert which came with a candle. Great food, excellent service, nice atmosphere, and very friendly staff. Thank You Firestone’s!! I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!!
Popular spot, great look, staff well trained … but vegetarian options practically non existent. Even for brunch! In that regard, they have the kind of menu you saw a lot in the 90s when the veg option was an afterthought if at all. Won’t go back except to drink and eat gobby appetisers
We were happy to be seated upstairs where we felt more cozy and could enjoy the architecture. We were super disappointed in the food, especially for the price. The restaurant feels tired, but the staff were hustling.
Wonderful dinner Al fresco. Delicious appetizers, the foie gras mousse was amazing. The kids enjoyed their meals and we loved the scallops and venison. The cocktails and dessert were also very well done.
Our dining experience was OK and pricey. When we arrived, we initially had trouble getting the attention of staff to place our drink orders. The dozen oysters we had as an appetizer were poorly shucked; there were small pieces of shell in most of them. I had fish for the main course, which was good, but the side had way too much sugar in it. We asked for bread and got sweet brioche. I would recommend the place for happy hour (great bar and my cocktail was excellent), but not for a fine dining experience.
The food was great. The service was good, the waitress could have been a bit more attentive.
Wonderful meal, great service, we had a great time!!
Great service! The hostess, waitress and all other staff were friendly and very polite. They alerted very attentive and patient to us. We were with 3 young kids and they seem to be ok with kids.
Food quality was excellent and the desserts were tasty. Couldn’t ask for better place.
