Friends is nestled in a 500 year old Tudor building on historic Pinner High Street. Our house may be old but our culinary heart is very much of today. We serve the very best of British and French cuisine

Quaint little restaurant, my wife and I had a lovely meal and received attentive service throughout.
Fantastic evening. Exquisite food, really nice Romanian wine, the best Irish coffee I have ever had( and I have had quite a few all over the world). The service was excellent, the staff very helpful and friendly and I really enjoyed the evening. The scallops were absolutely gorgeous, melt in the mouth with amazing delicate foam and the red mullet and octopus was equally delicious.
We were a table four celebrating an anniversary and had a very enjoyable evening. The food was very good and could not be faulted. We did have to wait quite a while before our drinks were served which is why the service was not rated 'outstanding'. Other than that the waitresses were all very professional and helpful.
Exceptional food on 2 occasions now , having tried different dishes from the menu which was also not identical 2 weeks in a row. Highly recommended.
Dimitri and Catherine
Food looked and tasted fantastic. I would recommend Friends Restaurant to anyone who appreciates good food.
Delicious food, excellent service perfect ambience. Highly recommended
Fantastic food and service, this was our first visit there are going to be many more now, our new top restaurant in the area.
Good meal for special occasion very friendly staff would definitely go again
Terrible food, I have scallops for starters and they were covered in a foam sauce not very nice that ruined the scallops. For main course I have sea bass with octopus . The fish was not well cooked and the octopus over cooked very hard to eat.
I had heard good things about this place, the reviews are exceptional. The reality was far from this (maybe a one off experience). The table want ready on time, thigh the manager apologised and we were accepting of this. The poor waitress (I assume a last minute appointment) was lovely but had no idea what she was doing. Couldn't remember how to lay a table. She was over worked and want given appropriate focus by management. We were asked the same question by numerous waitresses and I lay the blame at the manger for poor organisation. To back this up, other patrons weren't getting served and just wanted their bill. It was hot in the restaurant too which didn't help. The menu sounds good, but the food itself was quite bland and not inspiring. The sides are tiny and the staff should have pointed this out for a group of four. They ran out of food too, bad look. The food is nothing to shout about yet they charge high prices so poor value for money. Apart from the building being old I don't see the attraction which is a real pity.
Really regret booking this restaurant for a special occasion. The service was so dreadful. I emailed a letter to the management but have had no response. Avoid!
We celebrated our wedding anniversary with a delicious dinner on Wednesday. The waitress was most attentive and very helpful. We enjoyed our evening very much and will gladly recommend your business to others.
Superb food and great value. The service is excellent. As a lunch menu for a set price I have not seen better value. Yes the place was almost empty when I was there last week but it was a Thursday and it's August. Table near by with a couple of old gits was great entertainment however.
So if you are after a quiet place to enjoy delicious food then this is it. Better than some noisy Bistro and Café Rouge's awful service !!
Fantastic choice on both menus, the set was perfect for us 4.
The front of house lady we simply lovely, knowledgeable and caring with my 87 year old dad and my 88 year old uncle.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Our evening at friends was amazing. Upon arrival we were taken to a quiet table - which was what I have asked for to make conversation. The food, champagne and wine exceeded our expectation. Later the chef came around to have a small talk with every party and we felt really special. The atmosphere was great, the ambience fantastic and very attentive/friendly staff. Perfect for a birthday celebration! The place is easy to get to and just around the corner of Pinner station. Will definitely go back there and can recommend it to everyone who enjoys fine dining at reasonable cost. Best wishes, x
This is a restaurant that has a great ambiance as its in a n original Tudor building. The food is consistently good, there is a sensible wine list and craft beers.
Worth a visit.
A local restaurant with a fine dining experience. Welcoming efficient staff, good food and a nice ambiance
Great food, even more exceptional than I remember from past visits. Courtesy and attention to details both from chef and waiter. Warm and cosy atmosphere. A pleasure for the senses.
Five if us had an excellent lunch. The restaurant was quiet which suited us as my 93-year old mum struggles to hear. Service was friendly and efficient. Food was delicious. The set lunch bistro menu is good value.
We are locals but this was our first visit since Terry Farr sold the restaurant.
The food is still good , but it was disappointing that two ingredients of the dishes we chose (cauliflower mousse with the scallops and octopus with the stone bass) were no longer available that evening ,even though our booking was for 20.30 hours, not late. We were given the option of choosing something else but continued with our original choice. The chef came up to explain and ask if the food was OK. It was!
Service was good although one of the girls seemed a bit nervous.
Friends is a very small restaurant and hundreds of years old in an expensive part of London, so it cannot be cheap! Choice on the menu is limited ,so check on the internet before you book.
Friends in Pinner is outstanding and a real gem. Has a new Chef since been a couple of years ago and what a different step up this has made.
We had a very pleasant evening at Friends for our wedding anniversary. The staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Nothing was too much trouble for them. My wife requires gluten free food, which was provided without any fuss. She found their recommendations on dishes to be excellent. The food was first class. The service excellent. The ambience cosy and friendly.
The food was fantastic. There was also a great choice of cocktails. The restaurant is quite small so it can be a bit noisy sometimes but I would really recommend this place and will definitely go back.
Service was excellent too and the chef came and chatted with us, which we really appreciated.
They have air conditioning which was also a plus.
The only "negative " points (I use quotation marks because I really had a good time) were that we were only given the a la carte menu and had to ask for the set menu, and we were a bit surprised to have to pay for what I think was tap water ( as it was served in an unsealed flip top bottle).
A lovely wee restaurant offering fantastic food and great service. I hope to make it to one of their food and wine pairing events one day and I will definitely try their Sunday roast one day.
A great find.
If you are in the Pinner area, try it out.
Excellent food and wine for a special wedding anniversary. We would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to friends and family. Very pleased there is now a restaurant of class for special occasions in Pinner
Great service, great food and the sort of relaxed but attentive atmosphere which brings us back to Friends as often as we can
Excellent service, very personable and warm people working here.
Food was delicious and elegantly presented. They made us feel special !
Would definitely recommend ... and visit again :)
Food and service both outstanding, the starter my wife had was pretty substantial so go easy on the bread rolls, even though they're fresh out of the oven. The only criticism was they couldn't accept cards due to a technical problem, lucky i had my debit card along side my credit cards, so a 5 minute walk to the cash-point and it was sorted. Would have been nice to have know earlier rather than we were ready to leave, then i could have popped out between courses. The head chef coming over to chat at the table about his creations was also a nice touch.
Very good restaurant. Our guests were late due to late flight. We were looked after nicely .
Absolutely astounded at the food selection and flavors we experienced at Friends. From the scallops to the octopus(yep) to the lamb and the deserts just incredible tastes all around. The menu, while not very large, covers all the bases from beef to fish and all in between. There are veggie options and they also catered to my gluten and dairy allergies without trouble. Their coffee during dessert was really nice and the mango sorbet was like eating fresh mangoes. Overall an excellent experience, great service and staff, and a cool old building to boot in the lovely Pinner. Highly recommend.
Caters extremely well for dietary needs as I have coeliac.
My First choice resturant in Pinner and Hatch End
Highly recommend Friends restaurant. We love Pinner but prefer independent dining vs chain restaurants. Gorgeous little place which you could easily miss as its very understated from outside. Very cozy with wonderful character inside. The service was fantastic and the food was amazing. All three courses were surperb. We went for my partner’s birthday and will define going back. Brilliant find, great not to have to go into the West End to get such a high level dining experience.
A very pleasant evening but the restaurant offered both beef and fish dishes and both had run out before 2030.
An excellent restaurant, fine dining out of central London. Excellent service and great tasting food. No problem with parking in the evening.
This was an attractive restaurant with attentive staff and nice atmosphere. The upstairs room was cold and we had to ask for the air conditioning to be turned off. The food was beautifully presented, though rather tasteless, much of the starter from our party of 7 belng returned uneaten. Plates for the main course were cold so the food was not very warm. Overall verdict - disappointing
This was our first visit, and it will not be the last, from the moment we walked in, until the moment we walked out, it was just perfect, it's not a cheap or mid priced place but you definitely get what you pay for, the only slight annoyance was the tip / gratituity was automatically included.
Delicious meal - would certainly go back !!
Good service and nice environment
Pleasant staff, good atmosphere but very mediocre food.
Excellent food and service. Will definitely be going again.
