Wine should be served at the table and at a specific temperature. Wine glasses are cheap. Food is overpriced. Decoration is ok but materials are cheap. For what I paid i would expect a more premium experience overall. Menu is painful to read. There are better restaurants for a fraction of the price.

A very good menu with traditional and contemporary Japanese cuisine. Prepared very well and promptly. The service is very good, even excellent considering the scarcity of workers right now. Always consistent, would definitely recommend.

Disappointment. Food was good (not great) and very, very expensive. Service was also not good, but realize staffing is tough right now. They ended up over-charging us for 3 items. The FuGaKyu boat is $85 on the menu, but $107 when the bill came. Same over charges for our two appetizers relative to the menu. "An error in the computer system", I wonder how many people pay without realizing the restaurant was doing this to them. And regarding the FuGaKyu boat I was shocked at how little sushi was on it for $85 (let alone $107). One thing that annoyed me is that the hostess was constantly badging the over-worked staff to quickly bus tables, while she herself did nothing to help the situation. It would be nice if showed some leadership and actually helped their staff, that attitude would also likely help them retain staff. We will never go back.

Prices were quite high relative to the quality of the food. Menu was confusing to the point of it being frustrating… I’d suggest simplifying the menu (reducing it by half) and being more clear on certain sets (such as how many pieces the lunch specials come with).

The wait staff was really overwhlemed, so everything was slow. We didn't see the managers picking up the slack. We waited a long time to get even water served. Overally we spent over 2.5 hours at our table, but most of the time we were waiting for our food. And management didn't seem to care that we were not being served. They even got a couple orders wrong. I don't blame the waitstaff for my dis-satisfaction as much as I do the managers. Outside of this, the food they brought us was very good.

Food was very good though the tuna was chewy. Our waiter was very friendly but the service was slow. We were going to order more food but it took too long for the waiter to get back to us and we decided just to get the check and leave.

Excellent dinner with friends. Broad menu, great options. I'm particularly a fan of the shrimp tempura soba curry. Facility is great. Its a predictable treat to go to FuGaKyo. Special occasions and no occasions at all.

We love FuGaKyu! It is an all family favorite and we celebrate special occasions there whenever possible. The kids still love to be closed in a room even though they’re now older. The novelty of it hasn’t worn off lol the food is always fantastic, wonderful presentation and it’s made very quickly. You won’t be disappointed.

Brought a friend here last night as was soo excited to introduce him to the restaurant because my first time was great! Last night however was bigger than a disappointment. I made a reservation and requested a booth. Not only did we not get a booth which was fine but they brought us up out of the main restaurant through this maze of stairs and sat us up in a conference room with paper tablecloths that looked like a medical gown.. I asked if we sit at the bar maybe to get the ambience of the restaurant and they said the bar area doesn’t serve food. So we stayed put. We asked our waiter for a drink suggestion and he just plainly said sake. We got our appetizers and then ordered our entrees and another drink to get us through this disaster. Food was ok but they were out of a lot of things especially for my friend who was a vegetarian. They had no veggie dumplings or their “mock” meat. He got the fried rice with tofu and it came with a miso soup but that was not vegetarian and they had no substitute for him.. anyway cut to later that night my friend got violently ill which puts the cherry on it for the worst $200 dining experience ever.

This has been my go to for sushi for 15 years and as always it didn’t disappoint! Despite being extremely busy on a Saturday night with multiple parties, our server was attentive, kind, and a joy to have. Food was exceptional as always!

We have been going for years! The service last night was over and beyond! He was incredible! Food amazing as always, fresh and tasty! I was surprised at how much more the bill was.. We ordered what we usually do, but yet cost of each item was a lot more… i think they have taken the fees up but by a lot. I will still go back because of love the food, but less often.

Friendly and helpful staff. Checked temperatures when we got there. The restaurant is on different levels and has multiple dining areas. The menu is huge and you look at it on your phone. Drinks and food came out quickly and nicely spaced.
