Designed with attention to details normally reserved for sculptures, Fuji is elegant without being stodgy. The Japanese Cuisine is so good it lives up to the legend inspiring gallant decor.
You don’t have to travel half way around the world to immerse yourselves in far away cultures. You can partake in Fuji's unique pleasures of creative sushi and a mix of traditional and modern Japanese entrees. This incredibly stylish restaurant, bar and joint set the tone of modern day Zen Ambiance.
Shrimp, chicken, vegetable, fish
Very much enjoyed my dining experience at Fuji
Wait long time get service. Other than that everything was good.
Great food! Great service!!
The food and service was amazing - we will most definitely be coming back!
It wasn’t great
Mediocre at best decor and inside. Not nice at all. Terribly expensive. $20+ for specialty rolls. Food not tasty at all. Maybe an off night. Shrimp tasted frozen. Too much tempura coating on everything.
I had an amazing time here for my friends birthday- and we went with a large party. Our server was so sweet and the food was delicious. Will come back again for sure.
Awesome food and service! Great outdoor seating. Great location.
So delicious! We ate outside, even while it was raining! We will definitely be back now that we can eat inside again. The staff was so nice and food was delicious!
Always reliable, but learned to avoid the tempura as the batter is always heavier than expected. Plenty of other great choices.
Great food. Great value.
Loved it! Great good, service and ambiance. The wait staff was so nice and helpful, and let us stay for hours! Will definitely be returning.
We stopped into Fuji Sushi for a late Sunday lunch. Truth be told we chose it based on fact not many quality Sushi places in midtown open for lunch on Sundays.
We were very pleased with everything ordered. The quality was very fresh. The service friendly. The prices very reasonable. I ordered a martini, it was only $8.00 plus the bartender gave me the extra in another glass! Also a selection of Japanese beer.
If you’re looking for a reasonable Sushi lunch or dinner near Columbus Circle, Central Park, Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall check Fuji Sushi out.
wonderful fresh sushi done beautifully and quickly. No ambiance though.
Great sushi. Good portions. Good service. Place could do with new decor.
Good food. Not super cheap but good value. I will be back
We were impressed to learn upon booking that this was the original sushi restaurant in NYC. The menu looked fabulous and made choosing our meal a challenge. However, we each settled upon the combo deal that included salad and three sushi rolls. PERFECT. And the price was even better. We have marked Fuji Sushi for our next visit to town.
It was ok but not wow
Sushi rolls had great flavor, and also were too big. It is not comfortable to open mouth big frequently to eat a bite.
This is a favorite place for us to bring family and friends. Everyone loves the Chef's Choice platters that offer a wide array of sushi and sashimi. Vegans and Vegetarians have many vegetable choices! The avocado and hijiki roll is my vegan favorite!
Very nice place to eat in Midtown. We enjoyed the Sushi very much.
Great neighborhood gem. The food was good quality and we loved the extra long happy hour (until 10pm on the day we were there). We would go back.
Such good sushi! We liked everything we tried.
Great sushi. Will be sure to dine again.
Outstanding staff. Very friendly
It was just a “meh” experience. I didn’t like how their chirashi and katsudon are presented: on a dish instead of a bowl. Sushi didn’t seem all too fresh.
Really good food and great value
Servers were borderline rude. Food was ok. Spicy tuna was interesting. Hamachi was good.
Be where of OpenTable allowed us to make a reservation at a time they are not open
Quiet little Sushi place right in Midtown. Good for a cheap date. Not incredibly high quality fish.
We lived in NYand now visit Manhattan a few times. Each year we enjoy exploring new restaurants. However, Fugi Sushi is always a stop. The Sushi is fresh and great. The staff is friendly and efficient. We were dining on a Saturday night and there were 4 chefs to keep things moving. The price/VALUE is very reasonable for NYC.
Plus the mid- town location is convenient.
Definitely a place.to go.
A great locals establishment. Not overrun with tourists. Sushi is always good, as are the gyoza. Beers are cheap and cold.
Good value, decent sushi. Do NOT order the hibachi thing unless you want something gloppy with a lot of sauce. Surprisingly noisy for a small place that doesn’t play loud music and wasn’t that crowded. But sushi was fine and fresh. We would go back.
Went with my teenage son and we both loved the food and service, and look forward to visiting again soon.
Tempura and yakitori were excellent and reasonably priced. Some Japanese restaurants charge three times as much. Service was attentive.
Very good service, sushi/ sashimi was fresh it rushed at all. Would definitely go back
What a great find this place was! The food was creative and delicious. The happy hour drink specials were amazing. I hadn't had a white russian in years. The potato wrapped shrimp was awesome. Highly recommend this place!
I love this place - nice people, ambiance and GREAT menu! I always enjoy the food and variety they offer. My favorite neighborhood place for sushi by work!
The service was excellent and the staff was attentive however, the sushi was disappointing and it won’t bring me back. The appetizers were good but lacked flavor. I don’t usually write poor reviews but felt mislead by the many positive ones.
Could not find the establishment.
Didn’t have a phone and was working off address details off site.
