Love this Fidi staple! The food and service are spectacular. Great place to bring a date, friends, or family! Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu!
Hidden gem of Fidi! Benny and James are the ultimate hosts. I've never had a bad meal here. It's definitely on the pricier side, but worth it for a fine Italian meal.
It was amazing! I would definitely come again, service was absolutely beautiful. I will be back!
Valentine’s Day
Giardino D'Oro is one of the finest Italian restaurants in lower Manhattan, if not the entire city. I started with the organic green salad, which was lovely. I then had the rigatoni special (with eggplant, mushrooms and mozzarella) - it was amazing. I finished with tiramisu, which was one of the best that I've ever eaten. The service was topnotch and the dining room elegant yet comfortable. It's a little pricy, but definitely worth it for the first rate cuisine and service.
Food is always awesome along with great service, this covid thing really hurts places such as this.
Have been here numerous times. Food always outstanding, service as well. Wine selection excellent
Pasta dishes are authentic and varied. Diver sole best I’ve ever had
Wonderful professional service. Martinis are fantastic, food is delicious. Can’t wait to go again
Wife’s Birthday and Son’s visit from CA
It was a lovely experience to go to with someone for Valentines Day
Booked a reservation for 2 on Valentines Day weeks in advance. We showed up on time and were offered a very nice table downstairs. However, that’s where the service ended. We sat with absolutely no attention, meaning no bread, no menu’s, no drink orders, no acknowledgement, nothing for 20 minutes. While the restaurant wasn’t empty, there was still open tables.
After waiting 20 minutes for someone to acknowledge we were there, we decided to leave. We went upstairs and advised the manager and hostess of what had occurred. To make matters worse, we received an excuse that they are busy. Really? That’s it?! Busy? The manager had a chance to try and make it right, but instead chose to make an excuse for inexcusable service.
We walked directly across the street to Harry’s Pizza Bar, with no reservations and they accommodated us without hesitation. We had great service and a great dinner at Harry’s Pizza Bar.
We will never go back to Giardino’s. However, we visited Harry’s Pizza Bar again on 2/15/2020.
We were not informed that there was no other choice than a $89 meal on Valentines Day. The waiter was not forthcoming and helpful. There was an ongoing draft in the restaurant.
Great food and excellent service
Amazing food and service.
fantastic neighborhood gem!!! an upscale alternative to some of the more casual options near the seaport. great portion sizes as well! definitely recommend!
Great place, authentic Italian. Very good service, prices a little on the high side but you're in the financial district so that's to be expected.
Great food and service.
Booked a mid-week birthday dinner with 3 generations of family. James took great care of us from when I called an hour before arriving, until we left full and completely satisfied-- the staff is extremely pleasant yet also extremely professional. The extensive menu and warm decor reminded us of a wonderful restaurant in Florence where we lunched a few years ago. Our party enjoyed clams oreganata, calamari, filet mignon, veal, chicken, vodka pasta, and delicious dessert. From the first cocktail to the final sip of cappuccino, we had a delightful evening. A delightful downtown dining opportunity.
Our first time and everything was amazing. The food was fresh, delicious, beautifully prepared and presented. Service was fantastic. Best dish of the night? The Bronzino and endive salad and ricotta cheesecake. We will be back.
Great food, great waiter will go everytime in New York

Amazing food and service!
This is a very old world Italian restaurant, which I enjoy on occasion. The pasta with claims was terrific. Unfortunately, the veal parm was dreadful. It was pounded too thin which resulted in overbreading and overcooking. It also was extremely oily. At $38 this is near criminal. Again, I like having a traditional Italian restaurant blocks from my apartment. But there are now so many excellent dining options in FiDi that a mediocre meal for 2 at $150 just isn’t going to cut it. Let’s hope they up their game.
Authentic, engaging and memorable Italian cuisine prepared in the traditional manner by a seasoned staff, coupled with an impressive wine list that tied our meal together perfectly.
Service was excellent. Attentive staff. Fresh and delicious food.
Giardino’s is simply fantastic! Benny and his staff are so accommodating and friendly. Valentino was so great with our friends children, they loved him! The food was phenomenal as well!
Absolutely love the old school Italian restaurants and this one is one of the best! Waiters are great and the cocktails are strong! It does not disappoint.
Some excellent food: the risotto and the jumbo shrimp were well cooked. The fra diavolo was bland. Good Italian food if you are on expense account. NOT a good value.
Authentic Italian food with a very large menu. Staff very attentive and professional.
A wonderful place that was recommended by a friend. Took my wife here for her 40th birthday and we enjoyed everything from begging to end. The service was impeccable, the atmosphere and ambiance we're ideal, and the food was superlative. Thank you for making our experience special.
Food was delicious and the service was excellent. I will definitely recommend to anyone looking for good food and great service.
The shrimp appeaser was really sub-par. The fish entree was AMAZING! Their zabaglione was disappointing as well.
Dover Sole to die for!
Went there on 2/15 with clients. I hadn't been there in a few years. It was absolutely outstanding. Simply outstanding. Food, service -- everything my clients ate, starters and entrees. Menu items and specials. Classic Italian food. Just a little pricey but absolutely worth it. Go there hungry and you will be more than happy! Thank you "Garden of Gold"!
Excellence service I will remend it to everyone I know and even come back myself.
Valentine’s Day
The food and the service were both great. The lunch specials, however, were unreasonably priced. It’s nice to see how the other half lives.
Great food and great service
Thanks James and staff for another perfect dinner
Great find in downtown NYC. Good food and good service.
