Maria is a terrific waitress who always takes good care of us.
Haarth is great.
The breakfast buffet is excellent and has made to order omelets and/or eggs from the kitchen.
The staff is lovely. Our waiter Solomon was fabulous.
Terrible menu. Appetizer meatballs terrible.
Food was as wonderful as always, and service paced for the special celebration. Excellent!
Lovely restaurant with excellent service! We had a scallop special that was out of this world. Juan gave us perfectly timed and attentive service.
We sat outside, by choice, on a nice summer evening. An airport shuttle bus pulled up and sat idling, spewing fumes at us, for at least 15 minutes.
Our waiter rushed us all evening. Beginning when we arrived and were just sitting down, he was already showing us the drink menu and telling us the specials. Several time we told him we were not in a rush. (It was not a crowd issue - most tables were empty) He was constantly coming by to see if we wanted to order anything else, and grabbing plates away the minute each diner set down his/her fork (a no, no in the restaurant business). Appetizers were good but main course duck was way too salty.
We will never go back!
Amazing food and service!
Food was ok, service was good
Excellent service. Food was delicious.
Wanted to catch up with friends and found a wonderful place for conversation and an good brunch buffet. The made-to-order omelets were cooked perfectly as were the waffles and breakfast potatoes. Nice selection of fresh fruit, croissants, and desserts.
Great chef's special for the 4th of July dinner! Attentive service and gorgeous interior!
I am a regular customer at Harth because the food is always wonderful. Service is also great and the room is stunning. The restaurant is quiet, the menu is superb and this is by far the best restaurant in miles.
We are not staying in the Hilton, but decided to have a lunch for three ordering a Shrimp Romaine Salad and two Lobster Rolls, one of which ordered in a bowl without roll. I can vouch that the Lobster Roll was terrific with the taste of fresh tarragon...yummm. It left me wishing the size was larger because it was very good. Everyone was pleased with their meals and the service was attentive.
Harth is a stunning restaurant in the McLean Hilton, 3 miuntes from Tyson's and Tyson's II.
My husband and i have eaten dinner here dozens of times and will continue to do so. The menu is relatively small but always wonderfully prepared. Ingredients are often organic and locally grown. Nothing is overly concocted. The roast chicken is as good as my favorite Parisian restaurant. Seafood is perfectly prepared, salads are terrific and I could make a meal of sides.
The staff is outstanding: knowledgable, helpful and very friendly. No one has ever greeted us with "Hi Guys."
Harth is truly a gem of a restaurant . It is quiet, comfortable, and tables are spaced generously so diners are not forced to over-hear conversations from the next table. Honey comes from hives on the roof and is turned into delicious bacon jam. Flatbread pizzas are creative and delicious. The restaurant is perfect for diners with celiac or gluten intolerance.: the staff and kitchen are impressively knowledgable and helpful.
This is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is delicious. I love the steak with mashed potatoes, the wedge salad, the flatbreads, calamari....The ambiance is wonderful. Comfortable booths and beautiful fireplaces. We're always amazed that it isn't more crowded.
Also, great wine list.
Not enough selections for the price. The eggs were watery, tasteless. The quiche was horrible.
Great atmosphere. Friendly and responsive service. Quiet and easy to talk. Good food
For a $29 brunch, I do NOT expect to have ‘Eggo’s’ served as the waffle option. Further, the food should be kept hot or at least at ‘food-safe’ temperatures.
On a positive not, they did offer a couple of gluten-free muffin options, which is commendable.
I will not have brunch here again. There are way too many better options in Tyson’s.
The menu and kitchen are outstanding. The prices are quite high. If you go with the $35 three-course meal, you get choices and a significant deal over the a la carte menu. The bacon jam served with the bread basket is truly amazing - as advertised.
Sunday brunch with family - ample options for many different diets! Kids, vegan adults, big appetites, etc. Friendly and accommodating service. Bright and sunny dining area.
The staff are very friendly and the food well presented. The flavors were very good and well selected and blended. Quite enjoyable dinner.
All of the people going back and forth to get food and more food created a bit of noise. The service was outstanding; all staff were very helpful.
The Mother's Day Brunch event was buffet style, with lots of options and high quality food. Not a quiet event, but not overcrowded. The restaraunt itself looks and feels like a blend of modern and cozy. Would definitely try having a quiet dinner there to enjoy the ambiance more.
When I reserved a table at Harth for 7 people to celebrate Mother’s Day, I imaged we sat by the fireplace and enjoyed a nice meal. Instead, we were brought to a hotel ballroom and sat in a large round table. We were very confused because we went there to celebrate Mother’s Day not to attend a seminar. Many Kids were running around inside the ballroom and some are under the tables. We actually felt like we were in a playground, which is worse than a conference.
Food is way below our expectations. Only two small food stations were in the ballroom, the rest were served in the hotel lobby. Food choice was limited. Eggs Benedict was cold after sitting there for a while and the English muffin got really tough. Salmon fillet is salty and dry. Pork loin is average and nothing was special. The brunch costs $74 per person ($59 asking price + 19% automatic tip + VA tax). There is no beef or shrimp at all and deserts are pure sugar.
We all were very disappointed.
Mother’s Day for 14 people
Our reservation for breakfast was at 9:30 am on Mother’s Day. We were seated and ordered our drinks andd looking forward to an enjoyable breakfast with no rush with my wife and two daughters. Once we received our coffee, and juice for the kids we went to the breakfast buffet. After we sat down and began to eat we were than approached by a manager at 9:50 to 9:55ish. He told us the buffet would be closing at 10am, basically giving us a last call for breakfast. Needless to say this immediately caused us to rush to finish our food. This rush was because of the Mothers Day brunch that was to begin in the same dining room.
When we made our reservation for breakfast it should have been communicated that we would be rushed and had 30 min to finish breakfast. Maybe they should have not taken 9:30 breakfast reservations know 10 am was last call.
Absolutely ridiculous for the restaurant to do this, particularly for a $100 breakfast with a 30 min time limit. Thanks For making My family and my mother’s day a bust.
We sat outside in the lovely outdoor area. Wasn't busy but we had poor service - was very slow and not very attentive. My fellow diner didn't like her meal at all.
Lovely dinner in a very contemporary setting.. loved the short ribs..
While the ambiance was very nice and we liked the fireplaces - the food was just so-so and the wine over priced. Overall our group was not impressed. The best thing was the fresh bread and the bacon spread that was offered but, we had to ask from it...
This is a wonderful restaurant. I return over and over again, never having had less than a memorable meal. Decor is stunning and the wait staff is exceptional. The menu is relatively small but each item is prepared perfectly, without overly-concocted ingredients.
We have been going to the Harth for quite a while now, for our business purposes and lunches.
Great staff, great food, and great ambience. Servers were excellent very polite sweet and very attentive.
Lovely, quiet, attentive service, nice place for Easter brunch. Expensive but worth it to not have to wait on a special occasion
Very pretty but the breakfast buffet was not worth $28. All buffet items were typical and the selection was limited.
We haven't eaten at Harth for quite some time now. We had brunch there this past Sunday after staying at the Hilton because our power was out. The brunch buffet, although not all that extensive, was very good. They offered the usual breakfast items plus really good roast turkey. Service was great. We will go back.
The servers were upbeat and attentive
They were a bit overwhelmed on Valentine's day and when we were first seated it was very noisy, but it calmed down. The staff and chef are wonderful!!
Very disappointed. Took them 20 mins to take our drink order. Very limited menu and wine list. They brought appetizers out at the same time as our meals. I ordered BBQ short ribs. Cost was $30 for a small piece of meat with a salty almost canned gravy tasting sauce (not BBQ) and 6 steak fries. Very pricey for short ribs. My spouse ordered scallops also expensive. They were undercooked and sear was terrible on them. Overall just a horrible experience on Valentine’s Day. Won’t ever dine there again.
This place has OK food. The price is higher than I would have expected for the quality of food and volume of food. The wait staff were courteous though they needed several reminders. It took us 3 asks for more bread in 30+ mins. One plus I will give them is presentation of the dishes. Their chef was quite inventive. I ordered a lobster dish and they made it look like the sea with bubbles/foam. It was a nice touch.
A peaceful respite from noisy crowds. The menu is limited in scope but everything we had was delicious. The flatbreads are excellent. The décor is modern and welcoming. Food is modestly priced. The bacon jam with fresh bread is always a treat.
This was the second Saturday evening visit by the same group of five in a month. The first visit was wonderful -- this visit was a little disappointing.
The food selections were now a weekend "limited" menu -- so while we came for the wonderful full menu and "Prix Fixe" menu, everything (including the "Prix Fixe" selections) was not available. Not really caring for the limited available menu selections, 4 of the 5 ordered a mixture of soup, salad, appetizers, and sandwiches (not desired for a birthday get together celebration, but making the "best" of the situation).
The service was "OK" by the server. We weren't yet finished with the flatbreads (delicious) when he came to serve the soup (despite the dining room being far from full, and our having indicated we wanted to just leisurely enjoy the meal). He did take it back to keep it under a warming lamp and brought it back later. When the main selections were brought, one of the orders was initially delivered to the wrong person. Rather than bring it around the table to serve to the correct person, he reached out across the large round table to pass it to the correct person -- who then likewise needed to stretch over the table to accept it (not great or professional serving etiquette).
The manager was once again very professional and friendly, gracious and a delightful person, and did everything in his power to make the dining experience successful under the circumstances. He went so far as to make some dessert items not listed on the menu available -- again, helping as best he could to make things a little less disappointing.
The receptionist was very friendly -- and even wished a second "Happy Birthday" as we were leaving.
We may return in the Spring -- when the expanded menu again becomes available. Overall the food is good, the dining room ambiance is good (except for the vinyl place mats), and the sound level is quiet -- this visit was just somewhat of a disappointment.
