   I have been to IL Palio several times now and it continues to be the place to be. Service is exceptional and they aim to please. Great ambience and food second to none. You can not lose by picking this place for your dining experience. Ask for the waiter Lyle he is the BEST!! I will be back-smile!!

   Lyle and Lyla were a magnificent service team. Pleasant, sophisticated ambience. Food including oysters, octopus, tagliatelle, scallops, and new to us artichoke and spinach dish were all excellent.

    Service excellent as usual. We were surprised by the introduction of so much smoked flavor. Broccolini Rabe was smoked and overwhelmed my filet that also had a strong smokiness to it which was fine, but mixed with more was a little much. Wife LOVED the scallops! Server advice: I ordered a Martini and with going through the details of how I wanted it assumed that it would be up. Came down in ice. Default to up or ask. See you soon!

    Came here with my fiancé for Valentine’s day and all I can say is wow. The restaurant itself is beautiful, the service was fantastic and the food the incredible. While the portions were a little less than my liking (i’m an athlete and eat a ton of food) the quality more than made up for it. Everything was fresh with an amazing blend of flavors. 10/10 recommend

    We had had high expectations for Il Palio and had a good but not great meal. Oysters were nice and carpaccio was okay. We thoroughly enjoyed the beet salad and would highly recommend it. My bolognese was super but my wife's beef was over done and dry and our waiter failed to check with her on her satisfaction with it's doneness. Our dessert was served but the server failed to be sure we had silverware to eat it so we had to wait to flag down our waiter to get the needed spoons. A great experience requires a staff that pays attention to these little details and IlPalio missed the mark several times.

    Have dined here for years with excellent food and service. Best gluten free pasta ever! Little disappointing this trip. Ordered cocktails and didn’t arrive until after our appetizers were completed. Seemed somewhat rushed to order food. Breakfast two mornings was excellent with wonderful service.

    Our experience at II Palio was very disappointing. I’ve been there before and this was like a completely different restaurant. We the oysters we ordered as an appetizer and a salad were excellent but service a bit slow. Entrees were not good. Scallops had to be sent back because they were under done. The salmon appetizer (ordered to be served with the other entrees) consisted of a small piece of bread with one sliver of salmon. (It was laughable if it had not been so expensive.) The other ordered entree was the mushroom risotto which was delicious but not as hot as it might have been. I assume that was the case because it took so long to get us our meal. What made this experience to unfortunate is that I went with an out of visitor, having raved about how good it was.

    This has become my go-to restaurant for celebration dinners. The food and wine are outstanding and the house cocktails are inventive and enjoyable. The service is exceptional. I can’t say enough wonderful things. I have already booked for Valentine’s Day.

    Our meal at Il Palio was outstanding from the moment we walked in. Excellent service in a clean and sophisticated environment. Attentive and knowledgeable wait staff and the food was delicious from beginning to end. We had the beet salad and the meatball special to share among 4 people to start. Entrees included chicken piccata, bolognese, risotto, and swordfish. We all agreed that everything was amazing! We ended with almond cake and the cannoli trio. A truly perfect evening.

    I used to frequent this restaurant before i moved from the area about 8 years ago or so. I chose it to celebrate our anniversary and a reminder of some good old days and dates. Unfortunately, we sat at a long 6 top in the middle. the menu left much to be desired. the food was okay. Not nearly what we remember it being. Plus, i thought it was super expensive. Service was friendly and yet again not nearly at the level we remember. Our prior visits to IlPalio were a treat at each turn....not anymore.

    The service was outstanding. We did the chef’s special with wine pairings. We were served the prosciutto to start, which was incredible. The pastas we were served next were also quite delicious. The third course, the main, was underwhelming. We were served Chicken Piccata and Hanger Steak, both off-menu items. They were both decent, but not up to par with the rest of the meal. The Brussel sprouts side was amazing, and the mashed potatoes side were pretty good. The desserts were very good as well. The wine pairings throughout were nice. Overall, it could have been an amazing experience if the main course met the standards of the rest of the meal and they chose on-menu items.

    Mazzini was terrific! He is efficient, friendly, professional and very entertaining!! The black truffle tagliatelle was divine, pork Ravi very good but the shrimp linguine was just average- needed salt or garlic. Something was missing. Desserts were great. Vin santo was awesome

    We really wanted to love it but were not impressed. Service was great, but the food wasn't. Most was under seasoned and my husband's scallops were very overcooked. It was very overpriced for what we received. Disappointing.

    Entrées and Appetizers were very good: risotto and lamb: delicious. Wine recommendation was excellent. Dinner was a stalled/slow. The charismatic and delightful server forgot to put in the sides but they comped them. When the Brussel sprouts and polenta arrived they were perfect. Bombolone was burned & Gelato was excellent.

    The food is very overpriced for the portion size served. The quality is very good as well as the presentation, but for the pricing they should either give a larger quantity of food or lower the pricing by at least 10-15%. The pastas especially are exorbitantly priced. We have had homemade pasta around the world, and have never paid so much for such a small portion size. Homemade pasta is very inexpensive to make (dough, water and egg). The octopus appetizer was too tough. Any good Italian restaurant serving octopus knows that the secret to achieve tenderness is in the marination time, unfortunately Il Palio did not do this well. The service that we had was sub-par that evening. Our server's appearance was subpar (his manner and uniform), and it took 10 minutes to get a greeting from him. Another 10 minutes for ordering. Bread after 25 minutes. No one poured our bottled wine so at a certain point we did it ourselves and the finished plates remained on the table even though the server came to get the desert order. The dining room is minuscule and our server had 3 tables total including ours (1 6top and 2 2tops), so he was not swamped by any means. I would have expected stellar service for such a restaurant. One nice touch was a gift Panettone upon departure since it was at the holidays - my husband is from Italy so that made him happy. All-in-all I would recommend going to another high end restaurant over Il Palio.
