Waiter wasn’t attentive food came out cold.
We chose this restaurant because we enjoyed it before Covid, this was our first time out in 17 months. We were happy they created an out door space however, it was not very comfortable … picnic tables just don’t cut it, we are grateful for the safe space so not actually complaining, and it could be so much more inviting. The menu changed my 2 favorite things gone☹️ oh well the fried green tomatoes were perfect Thank you😊 the avocado strawberry toast was perfect Thank you😊 the Brussel sprouts flavor was perfect however, we could not eat them because though they had been “roasted” they were raw inside and unable to be chewed let alone digested… please parboil them first to soften and then roast so the are soft .. we took them home cooked them to perfection and ate them! Thank you😊 staff was very attentive and tried hard to please Thank you😊 we will return! Thank you😊 for working we really appreciate getting out again. Thank you😊 for wearing masks!
Do not recommend sitting outside. No air circulation and it smells like sewage. Just not a good part of DTA. Overall food and service are great, although there are no inexpensive options for breakfast.
Very enjoyable. We were not rushed and our waitress was adorable
In a word - DELICIOUS!!
You arrived at the restraunt 20 minutes early and were told that we would have to wait till our reservation time. There were several tables that needed to be cleared. Five minutes later were told our table was being cleared which took 15 minutes. Tjr food was delicious however getting a table with reservation is very difficult.
Appetizer of fried green tomatoes was never received
The fried chicken was well seasoned which is super important. I highly recommend this place. Whoever the chef is they understand flavor and they have infused a gourmet quality into very simply entres.
Great place for breakfast. I had the breakfast quesadilla, loaded with peppers, onions, cheese etc. Delicious. Our server was very attentive.
By far, the best breakfast restaurant in Annapolis (and there are a number of really good ones.) Their RooTarts starter is a must-have every time, especially the cinnamon brown sugar one. The eggs Benedict was perfect. The bacon was flavorful and crispy without being burnt. The orange juice is fresh squeezed. Get a reservation or you’ll be waiting outside for quite a while.
Very good experience! Kelly was our superb server. We ate outside, and the flies were peaty.
Sisters 22 birthday! Food was amazing ! Definitely returning!
Great breakfast spot. Pop tart was amazing
The food never disappoints, always delicious , good proportions and excellent staff, thank you!!
We hope the server who fell down the steps with a bussing tub is heeling and on the road to recovery!❤️❤️❤️
The food is always exceptional, but the staff is extraordinary. They are courteous, thoughtful, and very well spoken. We loved it!
Cobb and Farm salads were very good and fresh, Southern Fried Chicken sandwich was not so good except for the aioli. Very small piece of overcooked chicken on small stale (crumbly) bun with very few French fries and no garnish. It looked pitiful on the large white plate.
The chicken and waffles was amazing!! Loved the outdoor seating too. We will be back!
Love this place and our server was so friendly. Perfect breakfast spot and way to start our day!
First time there and impressed with the service. Social distancing was really good and food was good
Our first time out at a restaurant since Pandemic began. Great outdoor seating, food was great, waitress was so kind and attentive to our toddler. Highly recommend!
Mixed berry roostart was delicious! GET THE CRAB HASH!!!! It was truly one of the best brunch entrees I have ever had! I’m still thinking about it!
The California Club Omelette with home fries were perfect, and the coffee with cream was enjoyable.
Thank you for a lovely evening of good food and ambiance!
2nd time here. Food is both appealing and delectable! I had the Crab Benny and my girlfriend had the Strawberry Avocado toast. Both meals were beautifully presented and delicious. Our server, Johnny, was like that friend you haven’t seen in a long time but can pick up right where you left off. Jovial, knowledgeable, & helpful. We felt quite welcomed. Thanks IR for a wonderful experience! Oh, and of course, the RoosTarts are to die for!!
We were visiting, arriving via boat. We ate here on back-to-back mornings, 1. for convienence and 2. because it was so good the first time. We liked the not-the-norm menu. Although the fried chicken was a bit dry, the gravy or the oozy poached egg made up for it. I wished they did bone-in fried chicken. The Green Fried Tomato Caprese was amazing as well as the Green Fried Tomato Benedict.
First off, our server, whose name escapes me was lovely. Gave us time to order, made great suggestions, friendly without being obtrusive.
The food was good. I was shocked at how little chicken was added to my Cobb Salad. My friend got the crab stuffed avocado and loved it. We of course got a Roos Pie (lemon) and it was good-- a little light on the filling and disappointing that it arrived at our table broken.
We ended up at the Iron Rooster because the restaurant we wanted to go to was closed. This was a good choice. Will be back but sadly the IR is always the fall back choice and seldom the first choice.
Gladly seated us early upon our arrival. Outdoor seating was great. Food was outstanding and giant mixed berry tart for dessert topped perfect dinner.
Waited a very long time for our food. We sat inside and it was super hot. Food was okay. The server was nice when we actually got to see her since she never wanted to stick around.
Crab salad was delicious! We normally love everything here, but Hubby had the skirt steak and it was overdone and tasted like propane. Manager comped it. We will be back!
Food was awesome and Pop tarts amazing I had the Southern Peach it was everything . Our waiter was Johnny he was doing the bar and tables he was great also overall 5 star experience will definitely return
Always a fun meal. It's loud and busy but that's part of the experience. Great food and pleasant servers.
Outstanding! Not only was the food very good. The genuine personal touch from the owners was unmatched. Went after our son’s graduation and the meal was complimentary We didn’t ask or expect this. Both owners spoke words of encouragement to our son.
We will definitely be back!
We were disappointed in the Iron Rooster. There were plenty of wait staff but we were seated for quite a while as well as the party next to us and no one greeted us, brought water, said they would be with us shortly. I had to go up to the front and say something. They seemed overly attentive to another table seated next to us who were complaining about the food etc that I think they all forgot there were 2 tables waiting.
The food came out pretty quickly but then they messed up the poptart my daughter ordered. They quickly fixed the issue and didn't charge us so I appreciated that.
I think at the time we got there there was a shift change but that isn't a good reason not to take care of all customers. I was disappointed as I had been to Iron Rooster before and had a good experience and expected more from them. I would probably go somewhere else in Annapolis before going to Iron Rooster again.
Sat outside in the tent. Delicious food. Recommend the home made breakfast tarts. So good we bought extra to take home for the kids.
Casual, comfy atmosphere with delicious, tasty food and fun, happy waitress
We ate outside in the open tent. It was a nice evening. Both of us ordered chicken with waffles. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The chicken was fried perfectly and seasoned good! The waffles were fine but not the star of the meals. We both chose to have fresh fruit instead of the potato side. Delicious! Our waitress checked in with us several times and was pleasant.
Service was very slow. Food was just o.k. I was disappointed overall.
