The neighborhood of Westport in midtown Kansas City, Missouri, is a lively center of entertainment for locals and visitors alike. Although it was once the site of a decisive Union victory during the Civil War, Westport is now known more for its fine restaurants. St. Louis is the more famous beer city thanks to Budweiser, but there are at least a half-dozen brewpubs and microbreweries in Kansas City, making 39th Street and Westport great destinations for beer lovers.
