    Everything is overpriced considering mediocre quality of the fish. Loud music made it hard to talk to friends at the table. Light small print made it hard to read parts of the menu. Sake was 3x retail. Not for me. If I'm going to pay that much, I better be getting top quality fish. But I do have to give credit for the service. They were great! Just did not appreciate the service charge on top of our tip. Ridiculous.

    We ordered a lot of food. We come here often, this location and LA Live. We tried a few new options but weren’t fans. The whole fish is not worth it &amp; the rock shrimp tempura sushi roll is not worth it, just get the rock shrimp appetizer. It’s much better

    It was delicious and my Watermelon/Cucumber Mojito was so refreshing and the best cocktail I’ve had in a long time. We will be back.

    It was a very good dinner I would say, of course on the pricey side but when you come to a place like this you should be expecting it. Everyone in my family only had positive things to say about how delicious the wagyu beef were, the fried rice, sea weed salad, the sushi, etc. Service was top notch, even giving you suggestions on food choices. Overall one of our favorite places to go to.

    Sam is the best waiter and provides outstanding service. I highly recommend the tomahawk steak and bread pudding. Thanks for a great visit AGAIN Sam!!

    Tempura was good, but the crispy spicy tuna appetizer had stale rice. And the sushi rice was so over seasoned, it was inedible. I started pulling off the fish and eating it like sashimi. My husband ordered the fried rice bowl with Wagyu beef and it was not seasoned at all. And the whole thing was very expensive for the quality. The service was very good though.

    Katsuya is one of my favorite places to dine. I usually go to the Brentwood location but I was seeing a show at Pantages theatre, and happy to be able to enjoy a pre show meal, then walk to the venue. If only I had enjoyed the show as much as my dinner...!!!!

    Everything was great starting from the valet. I wasn’t sure about going to this location because finding parking is crazy in Hollywood. Although I was late for my reservation, the hostess was very kind and took us to our seats right away. Usually for reservations for two, we always get a small table in the most awkward seating. However, they sat us at a very nice and large table. The food was great! We didn’t have to wait to long for everything to come out. The pace of the food coming to us was perfect.

    Mario and the whole team who waited on us were phenomenal! From start to finish, they made it a memorable dining experience. If you're looking for quality hospitality, ambiance and fantastic food, Katsuya is a must.

    Honestly horrible experience. Group of young teenage weirdos walked in looking cracked out and got seated then all went to bathroom together. Felt very unsafe. Couldn't have paid for check quicker to get out of here. Go to Brentwood location to feel a little safer but still get mediocre food.

    Overall good food experience but could have been much better had the wine service been more professional. I ordered a glass of white wine by the glass but the waitress brought me a different lower quality wine without telling me! After I questioned it, she simply stated that the wine I ordered wasn’t available and she got me a different one!! I then ordered a French Malbec (top price on their list) and again I got an inferior Cabernet Sauvignon instead! I ended up canceling the drinks order all together 🤷🏻‍♂️

    Love the ambiance and design of this restaurant. Great service, delicious food and great drink selection. I have been here many times and everything I have ever ordered so far has been outstanding. Cameren provided us with stellar service and the tenderloin Toban that he recommended was delicious.

    I was very excited to try this place but I personally thought the prices were not worth the food I got. My friend got the tasting menu and enjoyed it a lot. I ordered a la carte and was not impressed. The Brussel sprouts ($16) weren’t even full sprouts, they were mostly burnt crisps. &amp; $8 for a small miso soup seemed pricey. The ambiance was cool and the service was pretty good but I personally did not think the price was worth what I ordered.

    While the rolls weren't great, the rest of the food was outstanding. Had a great time here and its instantly one of my favorites. If looking for dessert, the brown sugar donut with ice cream was absolutely amazing! Our server, Cameron, was great.

    Super fast and friendly service. Great quality food and good portions. Try the baked crab roll, miso cod which was nice and buttery and the firecracker shrimp. Sexy ambiance, perfect for a date night or groups.

    It was fine. Music was very loud starting at 7PM and continued into the rest of the night. Food was decent — higher price point and smaller portions than the OG in Studio City, but decent for Hollywood. Likely wouldn’t go back, much better options around the area like Murakami, Umeda, etc.
