The food was as expected nice to go for quick bite, watch games, drinks beers. Our waiter was hardly around and the table next to us was very loud and extremely drunk behavior.
Always an excellent location for a meal. I've been a satisfied customer for years.
Good food, nice music, and we were able to stay warm and dry on a night when it was trying to rain.
4 of us went for lunch on Saturday. My corn & crab chowder was lukewarm. 1 brother's fries were cold. The iced tea was terrible. We asked if it was homemade-the waiter said it was. It's obviously store-bought. Just be honest. 2 others had the mussels. They both said the bread they were given was stale and just toasted. Not sure I'd give it a second try.
I have been to Kelsey's a handful of times, all I can say is it's not enough times. I always have a good time here and the staff are nothing but the best. The food has also never disappointed. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
Food was excellent, entertainment even better. The propane heaters also made outside dining comfortable. An enjoyable experience all around.
Great outdoor dining. Service was wonderful and food was excellent.
Very friendly staff. Although menu limited during pandemic there are enough choices to make. Prices reasonable.
Our server was not very efficient seemed preoccupied but was pleasant.
Kelsey's was a great place to eat in the time of COVID. They had a huge tent set up outdoors, with plenty of space and social distancing. We were seated as soon as we arrived for our reserved time. The food was excellent, with the exception of my husband's Shepherd's Pie, which could have had more meat and vegetables and less mashed potatoes, but was still very tasty. The Fried Brussel Sprouts appetizer was outstanding and a large portion for the $4 cost. Service was attentive and speedy. This will become a regular night out!
When we arrived, we saw 2-3 tables on the patio open. When we asked for a table, we were told that they were all reserved. They told us there were tables available inside the restaurant, but we declined. We walked to our car to see when an outdoor table would be available. Guess what? One was available! I booked the table and walked back to the hostess. She was “surprised” when I told her that I just reserved a table. I can’t imagine that she didn’t know 1 table was open and turned away business. The waitress made up for the confusion.
Sorry, nothing extra to say.
We went to Kelsey’s for dinner this week as they take reservations for outside dining. I was very happy to see they had an abundance of outdoor tables far enough away from each other that we felt very comfortable eating there. We ordered the corn beef bites for appetizer and licked the plate clean... so good. Our dinners included the ribeye and brussel sprouts, steak and cake and my son got a burger. We were all very pleased with our meals. The brussel sprouts were some of the best I’ve had in a while. They also have daily food and drink specials. We will be back!
We went for Sunday brunch. We had a party of eight. Three of our party are vegetarian and Kelsey’s menu has some good vegetarian options (Beyond Burger, veggie skillet etc.). Problem was they had a special St Pattys Menu which had no real vegetarian options. We ask the waitress if they could do one or two of the regular menu vegetarian options and she said “No but I guess I could ask?” She came back and said “Nope only option is the salad without meat!” This is very poor planning and customer care. They accommodated gluten free diets why not vegetarian. Kelsey’s management needs to open their minds to plan for all or tell people that make reservations that the menu is LIMITED.
Our server Ana was friendly and helpful. Will ask for her table next time we are at Kelsey’s
Friendly, competent service, good food, decent prices.
Kelsey's is more Irish than other supposedly Irish restaurants. We both had salmon topped wish crab imperial and it was outstanding. Our server, Maggie did an outstanding job.
Out to dinner with friends. Excellent food. We were seated immediately and our waiter did a great job. Huge portions. Unfortunately we didn’t have room for dessert.
We had a great meal for a group of 8 to celebrate a birthday. Our server was wonderful and we loved being able to sit by the fireplace. Everyone was very satisfied with their meal. Tried the deviled eggs for the first time and will order again.
The food at Kelsey's is always good (we love the Shepherd's Pie) and you can hear one another talk!
Our dinner on Valentine’s Day was delicious! The service was outstanding thanks to our waitress Shelby. She was attentive and friendly and we appreciated her sense of humor! She was also helpful in reccomending 2 kinds of tasty craft beers. I alwaya have to get the corn crab chowder soup and it never disappoints! My reuben was crispy and scrumptious. My boyfriend got Molly Malone’s meatloaf and he loved it! My sangria was perfect as well with fresh wedges of lime and orange. Thank you Kelsey’s for an absolute delightful evening!
Great service from Jesse. Food tasted great. Took a long time to get our appetizer/salad but it was no big deal since we weren't in a hurry. It was a problem when a couple of minutes after we were served our appetizer/salad, our server told us our entrees were ready. This is irritating and poor kitchen management. We either forego enjoying and eating our appetizers, or our entrees will be kept under a warming lamp or brought to the table where it will get cold. Enjoyed the food, but not the timing.
The service was terrible and the food was disgusting. We each got different things and all tasted like they’d been microwaved. My Reuben (which I expected to be good coming from an Irish pub) was cold in the middle and tasted like it had been sitting out. Our server disappeared for over an hour and we had to ask two different people to find her. For the quality of food and service you’re getting you’d have better luck at McDonald’s.
WE went for Restaurant Week. The menu and the food were superb.
Great overall experience. Our server Ana couldn’t have nicer!
Server was initially really great, then it when more people arrived he was swamped. Not his fault but they should have more servers. Food was great.
Excellent food and service
Our server was wonderful and the food (as usual) was delicious! One of our favorite places to go!
Superb salmon special. Attentive waiter. Other staff helpful. Great value, too!
It was a very nice neighborhood restaurant. We were seated promptly, the food was good and the service was excellent.
My husband and I visit this restaurant every month or so. We love the menu - he always orders the blackened ribeye. And the service is always excellent.
We had a reservation and we were seated promptly in a booth. The server was quick to take our drink order. She was pleasant and friendly. My husband ordered the Cajun risotto which was a special that night. He liked the risotto except for the regular sausage in it tasted odd to him. I had the salmon imperial which was very good except for the potatoes it came with. They were soggy and tasteless. The flourless chocolate cake was good and nice end to the meal. I like Kelsey’s and I’m usually happy with my food. I would definitely eat there again. I will stick to their popular menu items the next time I’m there.
We have been dining frequently at Kelsey's since you opened and have never had poorer service. Our server did not bring my husband's entree and after being reminded of it showed no remorse and ultimately offered to bring it, but those dining with us had already finished eating. A second salad showed up at our table instead. I offered my husband the other half of my pot pie, which he did eat. However, it was supposed to be my dinner for the next night since I would be working and had planned on saving it for then. I think he could have made the situation right by taking my pot pie off of the bill but that was not the case.
Always enjoy the food and service here. Will be back soon.
Living in the city has spoiled us with great food options. Often times, we just can't find anything comprable in the county. This restaurant, however, is an exception. We greatly enjoyed the ribeye, the lasagna, as well as the fish and chips. And the server was amazing.
Went with a friend and my wife for dinner after attending a Navy football game. Service was great and we were attended to very quickly. My friend had the clams casino and loved them. I had the chicken pot pie and also enjoyed it. Overall the food was very good and the price reasonable. Nice local place that is suitable for a variety of occasions.
We went to see our friend, Brendan Pelan, perform. He was in the side room and it was Kelsey's anniversary party. Bagpipers were great. Brendan was terrific and played for the crowd. Food was very good and came quickly. Ambiance was like a good Irish American pub. Nothing like a pub in Ireland!! Will definitely go back to Kelsey's always great to find a new place.
Our waiter, who was very nice, but obviously had had zero training in efficiency.
Yummy food and a good variety offered with attentive service.
Will go again!
The food and waitress were excellent and we liked that we were able to reserve a table
